Horrible trip
This hotel was dirty and the staff was not helpful when asked about the area and things to do. Loitering ran rampant and it seemed to be very un-safe. Non-guests were permitted to hassle guests outside the hotel and left areas dirtier than before! Horrible trip.

GHETTO
First of all the Hotel Name was spray painted on the front of the hotel. The valet parking took a very long time. There weren't ice machines on every floor and the ones that they had were never working. The pool was always dirty. Room service was terrible and the food. Restaurant is not part of the hotel, so if you bring in food from outside the restaurant will not warm it up for you and the hotel does not have microwaves. The rooms don't have refridgerators and the furniture is very old. I would never stay at this hotel again. It was very disappointing.

Shopping tip:
Long walk from hotel
Biscayne Blvd was close which is where the Bayside Mall is and that is a very nice place to spend the day. S. Beach is only 15mins from the hotel.

Horrific Experience
My trip to Miami on Saturday February 9, 2008 was absolutely horrific. Delays after delays cost me invaluable time with my wife. Instead of celebrating our wedding anniversary, we were left to miss all the restaurants and outdoor activities. To make matters worse, the River Park Hotel in downtown Miami, was filthy, Disgusting, and unpleasant. The basics such as sleeping comfortably and toiletry were totally missing. One would be lucky to wake up next morning and the bed sheets were change.

My review of River Park Hotel and Suites
Vsery old, and unkempt. In a very bad location. Not able to go out at night. Nothing happening in the hotel. The elevator was not working - had to use the service elevator.

Pick Somewhere Else
The River Park Hotel has seen better days.. From the missing letters on it's building sign to the missing table and chair in our room.. Breakfast was a joke; it took one and a half hours from start to finish; the coffee was cool, not in style but rather in temperature and the orange juice machine was broken; we didn't find this out until an hour into the meal.. Check in and check out was a real challenge; about 45 minutes to check in and the same to check out. One feature that this hotel has which is quite different from others we have stayed in is the fact they charge you to store your bags in a closet in the lobby when you are checking in or out for a cruise. Not a very good idea.. The only bright spot was a beautiful parrot at the entrance to the restaurant; He was caged of course otherwise I'm sure he would have fled the premises also..

The stars dont matter on this one!
Well Ill start positive? First impression was there! You walk in to a nice lobby but you check in and walk to the elevators and one is working. You walk to your room and outside looks nice but inside is the question. This should not be a three star hotel! To be honest this should be a two star hotel! The view was excellent but everything else I mean where to begin? They only gave you two towels, the phone did not have a menu so I didnt know what buttons to press to call for an extra blanket, and to get that blanket I had to walk to the lobby to get it! They couldnt bring me a extra blanket at eleven at night? From location, to the outside of the hotel, to staff, this was a unpleasant hotel.

hotel stole my luggage
someone in the hotel stole my briefcase from a secure area of the hotel, containing many valuable items, including my laptop. they did nothing to compensate me for my loss. in fact, there was not a manager on site for over 24 hours to help us with the matter of our stolen luggage. there are absolutely no security cameras or security measures at all on site of this hotel. In addition, the phones in all of the hotel rooms were out of order and the guests were never informed until actually tried to use the phone. worst hotel ever - full of shady, liars and thieves!

We Will Never Return
When we arrived, we found that most of the staff did not speak English. Due to different problems, it took three rooms before we finally got settled. The continental breakfast was a joke. There is no resturant in the hotel.
