River Park Hotel and Suites - Port of Miami

Elevator was broken and when it worked. It smelled of urine.

The purpose of our trip to Miami was to attend a three-day concert. I selected this hotel because of the proximity it provided (no need for taxi's)to the event. [...]. At first glance the hotel appeared to be very clean but upon entering the rooms it was a different story. The room itself was not clean, the floors were sticky and the carpet was very dirty. I had requested a room with two double beds yet received a room with one bed and a small sofa. Our overall experience was okay as we were out and about all day,but I was still disappointed because it was not what I requested. I would recommend this hotel (for adults) on a tight budget, but if your bringing along the kids, skip it. I would like to comment the individuals at the front desk where helpful and did provide us with information about local restaurants and clubs.

If you are a 16 year old raver, this place is fine. Otherwise steer clear, the rooms are extremely dirty, the service is horrible and they ran out of towels during the weekend.

i booked the hotel for Ultra Music Festival 13... the room was clean, but only had two towels... the second say we were there the cleaning lady took our towels and never brought more :P not too big of a deal... other than that we enjoyed our stay. checking in and out was easy and quick. had to get a replacement key twice because our was deactivated for some reason. the ice machine on our floor also ran out of ice a few times.

The staff were the least friendly. The room was OK, but no light switch near the door so you'd probably spend sometime looking for it in the dark the first day you arrive. There is an additional charge for the safe whether you use it or not-- very small fee, but why don't they simply include it in the room price? No internet in the room (Yes I should have checked before I book it, but in 2011 I've taken it for granted). OH, BTW, this is amusing: the card key was wrapped in a piece of paper cut from a takeout menu, taped on the side, instead of a small envelop that you usually see.

This hotel is too bad because it overbooked their rooms! And I have to be transfered to another "brother" hotel they claimed, but it is 10 miles away. This was really unpleasant experience since I chose this hotel just because of its location which is close to my meeting place. So I have to take taxi to the "brother" hotel and they refuse to reimburse this expense for me... I never had such experience before. Next day I have to take the bus back to downtown, but that cost me 1 hour! Finally, they upgraded my room without additional charge, but this was not really helpful...

Our entire trip was horrible! first of all, the hotel staff was exremely rude when we first got there and didnt even greet us. Then the front desk clerk said "whats your name" then says okay its gonna be $40.00 additionalfor two beds and this is after we paid in full online for four people, 2 nights, 2 beds! when we asked why she said the price we paid was only for one bed. We were very upset to get this kind of surprise when we got there and then the next day we call housekeeping and ask for a towel and had to wait an hour and 30 minutes for it! I went downnstairs to see if maybe they were just too busy yet was surprised to find the staff surfing the internet on two laptops and chit chatting. This hotel service is the worst Ive ever had.

We went to do a government transaction, the valet parking guys were very pleasant, but not the FD agents. In general, it's an ok hotel, for the price that was paid. Thanks.
