Horrible trip
This hotel was dirty and the staff was not helpful when asked about the area and things to do. Loitering ran rampant and it seemed to be very un-safe. Non-guests were permitted to hassle guests outside the hotel and left areas dirtier than before! Horrible trip.

Riverpark Hotel in Downtown Miami
The River Park Hotel was propably a nice place in the 1980s. It has a fairly nice staff if you can find someone who speaks good English. The neighborhood is sketchy. I would not reccommend walking out around night to late. The room was clean but very plain. If you stay, I suggest taking the time and walking around Bayfront. It is a beautiful shopping/dining/marina not to far from the hotel. Take the metro mover to get there the quickest.

Very ugly and old hotel
When we checked in the recepcionist told us that they were full and they would give us a suite... OH BOY!, we don't wanna know how the regular rooms are if this was their suite. Awful is a term that doesn't get close to what we felt that night. We were exhausted and it was 1 am (our plane was delayed for SEVEN hours) so we just slept through the night and took a very detailed shower the next day. The hotel doesn't have parking, so you have to pay 20 dollars extra for the valet, but THERE WAS A PUBLIC COVERED PARKING GARAGE just across the street they forgot to mention, the whole night would have cost us just 5 bucks if we were told. I would never recomend this hotel to my worst enemy.

I'll def stay again before cruise
I was very pleased with this hotel. We arrived at FLL airport, used the van service and were promptly brought to our hotel. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are clean and updated. This is not a luxury hotel but a great deal for the price and I'd even pay quite a bit more. I heard you have to pay to park if you were driving, and there really is no place to park as this is right in the city. The only negative thing I can say was the restaurant in the hotel. Seemed to be only one waitress that spoke little English and was very overwhelmed. We waited 10 minutes of not being acknowledged and left. There were several van drivers that will pick you up and take you to your destination. (cruise ports, South Beach, etc.) There is also a free tram service literally right outside the hotel, that will take you right around the inner city, and it runs all day and night! You can go up the street a little bit for shopping and visit the Bayside Market. We had a lot of fun there, with live music and dance, and the BEST Cuban food I've had in my life!

Short walk from hotel
Bayside market was great for shopping and food, and just enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather. We were limited on time as we were getting on a cruise but next time we'll go to South Beach. Mangos restaurant in Bayside Market was EXCELLENT!

Great Price...but at what cost?
Hotel was conveniently located and very reasonably priced. A bit shabby. Elevator did not work and we had to use service elevator. Dining room is awful...food quality poor, service almost non-existent. For the price, the hotel was adequate, but we were a bit disappointed we didn't spend a little more and get a decent hotel.

hotel stole my luggage
someone in the hotel stole my briefcase from a secure area of the hotel, containing many valuable items, including my laptop. they did nothing to compensate me for my loss. in fact, there was not a manager on site for over 24 hours to help us with the matter of our stolen luggage. there are absolutely no security cameras or security measures at all on site of this hotel. In addition, the phones in all of the hotel rooms were out of order and the guests were never informed until actually tried to use the phone. worst hotel ever - full of shady, liars and thieves!
