La Quinta Inn & Suites Miami Airport East

I wanted to thank the staff and the Laquinta hotel chain for providing a wonderful place to stay with dogs. They helped loanding and unloading the kennels on the airport shuttle without fuss and were extremely accomidating and happy to see our dogs. They are like family and to be invited to stay as welcomed as we were was wonderful. They also have a great grassy area to run, play and go to the bathroom that is fenced right behind the hotel. Thank you again for your hospitality.

This hotel is a great location near the Miami airport, with a free shuttle to and from. Desk staff was very nice. I arrived early in the day (so my room was not ready) and they kept my bags locked up for me so I could go into Miami for awhile. Public bus dropped me about a block from the hotel. The room was simple but very clean and seemed newer. Bed comfortable. Washer and dryer available down the hall. No pool. I had a room on the back, which was probably quieter, since there is a highway out front. Only drawback was the closest place to eat was a rundown chain restaurant with pretty awful food. Had I felt like strolling farther or had a car, I am sure there would have been better options not too far away. I would stay there again if I had a late-in, early-out flight, but probably not for a whole vacation.

This place was ok for the night before our cruise. They gave us the keys to room & when we got there our door was open, I was afraid to go in!! Room was ok. There was a mold odor which made my alergies flare up a bit for a few days. Go early to breakfast.....it was a mob sceen!

Well, the main reason we book this hotel is the extras: free airport pickup/dropoff, free port transfer, free wifi/breakfast/gym.. However, its location of 10 miles from Miami beach has literally put us on the run all the time when it comes to transportation (running from/to bus, light-rail, and hotel shuttle).. Then, comes the staff; dependent on whom you speak to; some went above and beyond while others gave you the routine/useless answers.. Overall, the hotel is well maintained for a 2-stars; except on the last night and the day of our departure, we discovered ROACHES.. I told the lady at the front desk, and she didn't seem surprised or ready for any actions.. That is a turn-off..

We stayed for two nights at this hotel, and the accommodations were basic, there were towels and TP and toiletries and the beds were made. The tv was nice but should be wall mounted. We stayed on the 4th floor - and the first thing that hits you when you step off the elevator is the stench of old and new cigarette smoke. Even in the room I rented, the stench was there (housecleaning left the thermostat high and the windows open, in Miami!). Once we lowered the thermostat the smell was less overwhelming. I wouldn't stay at this particular La Quinta again, but I will look for another La Quinta on my next travel.

My night at La Quinta was just fine. Comfortable bed and clean room. I had to take the shuttle to the airport very early the next morning, which was really great. Very accomodating staff.

Needed a place to stay for an early flight out of MIA. Quick, painless check-in which is not always the case near this airport. Room was recently remodeled and was very nice. Reliable WIFI. 5 minute shuttle to the airport.

Clean comfortable room with a friendly staff. I will stay here again.

Decently-priced hotel for the expensive Miami market. Overall this is an adequate hotel in a good location related to the airport. Nothing special but served its purpose. The staff gets high marks for courtesy. Rooms were adequate and clean, but older and in need of renovation. The continental breakfast was good.
