Candlewood Suites MIAMI AIRPORT WEST

The candlewood was clean and the staff were very attentive however, they told us 2x it was a non smoking hotel which is great. the only thing wrong was the smell of smoke was still in the room...if you want to get that smell out you have to change the carpet. It still felt like a smoking room

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a night and wished we could've stayed longer. The hotel room was newly renovated with a brand new modern look. The furniture was beautiful. The kitchen, another beauty. It had everything we needed...plates, silverware, paper towels. You name it. The tv was a flat screen and was a great size. The staff at the hotel was very helpful too. My boyfriend has allergies to dogs and started sneezing as soon as he layed on the bed. The guy at the front didn't hesitate to switch rooms for us. He also provided towels for the pool. We went into the jacuzzi and it was soooo hot and felt great. Before we left we even signed up to their priority club because we plan on spending more nights at other candlewood suites.

I want to thank to the Front Desk Supervisor that worked on June 25 around 2:30 pm for going beyond his duties to provide excellent customer service to my mother a 67 old woman. That day my mom had a really bad experience with a taxi driver that yelled at her and wanted to charger her more than triple the price for the trip from Miami international Airport to the hotel since my mom didn't speak english well and was a easy target to take advantage from. Fortunately I gave her a cell phone from where she called me very nervous asking for help since the guy was taking her to (accordngy to her) not to nice neighborhoods. My mom had the address and phone number of the hotel (I wrote it in a piece of paper the day before to make sure she doesn't get lost to get to the hotel) and when she put me on speaker to speak with the taxi driver e was very rude and said that he already knew how to get there. I called the hotel and explained the situation t the front desk supervisor and without hesitation he offered his help. He and another staff member waited for my mom outside and made sure she was ok and that the abusive taxi driver was not over charging her. THANK YOU VERY MUCH GUYS, GOD BLESS YOU! I used to work at hotels before (InterContinental West Miami, Fairmont Turnberry Resort and Millennium Hilton NY and this employee really deserve a recognition)

I am very thankful with the f desk supervisor working on Monday June 25 around 3pm. Since they went beyond their duties to provide five star hotel service. My mom (age 67, speak and understand very little english) took a taxi from miami international airport to the hotel. I wrote the addres, hotel name and phone number. She told me that the taxi driver saw the address and agree to take her. The guy took her to other neighborhoods that didnt look so safe accordingly to her and then got upset saying the address was wrong. Luckily i got her a us cel phone and she called me. She tried to pass the driver the cel but he refused to talk to me and saying he knew where the place is. Inmediatly i realized he was trying to take advantage of a tourist and taking her for a longer ride to charge more. I called the hotel and explained the situation. My mother was very scared and nervous about the situation. The front desk sup.never hesitate to help me out and wait for my mother outside to make sure she was ok.

This was a good hotel, but it was advertised as being 4.0 miles from the airport. So I booked it because the price was good. However, when I took a taxi from there to the airport (no shuttle service), the taxi drove for at least 10 minutes at 45-50 mph, and then I looked out the window and saw a sign that read "Airport 3 miles." So I had to spend $29.00 on the taxi ride.

Relation price / quality is very good, The staff is efficient and friendly. One objection; the refrigerator is a little noisy

If you have either a long business stay or a quick connection in Miami, this place is the perfect combo: close to the airport, surounded by all you can need (stores, restaurant, services.)

Overall the quality of the room and hotel was great. Minor wear and tear damage to the room. Only complaint I have was at 5am the near by Miami airport had airplanes flying overthe hotel to land. These plans are very low and the noise from the engines kept waking me up. I wish I had ear plugs.

we reserved non smoking rooms and were rudely made to take one smoking room. not much effort was made to help us.

I think it would be better if given the choice between two beds, in the case of friends traveling together
