Do you like the color BROWN

We have stayed at a number of Disney hotels that were wonderful, but the Wilderness Lodge was expensive and awful. When we arrived with another couple, the couple was upgraded to a one bedroom villa (???? we made ther reservations), while we were given a regular handicap room. Handicap accessible rooms should be saved for people who are handicapped much like handicap parking. We NEVER stay in a handicap room for a number of reasons (no bath tub). The room was brown....totally brown, brown, brown, and we were told our room had a Magic Kingdom view (additional cost). Our view was of the dumpsters below (LOUD) and a parking lot. The Magic Kingdom was far in the distance. We complained but to no avail. A VERY expensive hotel, loud, fair restaurant, and a complaint means NOTHING.

Great hotel for frequent trips to magic kingdom

Disney always does a great job, and this hotel was no exception. Perfect location if you think you'll be spending most of your time at magic kingdom. Just a small boat ride away from the magic kingdom, with boats that come often. We stayed at the villas portion of the facility, and it worked out great with two small children. If you go in the off season, it is very affordable in Disney terms. Only downside was that there was not free internet in the room, and only Internet available was through hard cable. Seemed very odd at a place that prides itself on technology.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Use the Disney magical express service if staying on Disney property. They take care off all your bags and you don't have to worry about a rental car. Very seamless service.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I decided to book at the lodge because I saw it on the travel channel. I just found it amazing on how it was described on tv. To my surprise it was nothing like they described it. The toilet was dirty, so I had to call housekeeping as soon as we got there. The entire time we were there we felt like we were bothering the staff when we would ask questions. Was not as clean as I expected it to be. They were not very friendly at all. I love to travel and experience different hotels. But this was such a disappointment, I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. When I went to disneyworld, I was expecting to have the time of my life, sadly it just didn't happen. Definitely will not be going there again. Thank you for allowing me to share my experience.
