Comfort and Convenience
I checked into the Royal Plaza early in the morning so I could use the Disney transportation. Surprisingly, the staff offered to upgrade me to a room on the top floor which had one double bed and was available immediately. I was traveling alone and this worked perfectly for me. The room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. The hotel offered transporation to all Disney Theme Parks as well as Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney is definitely with walking distance, however, it was wonderful to have the bus after a full day at the parks. I only have one complaint and that is that breakfast in the dining room consists of a buffet only. So you are stuck paying the price even if you only want a small amount. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

Downtown Disney is a very walkable distance from the hotel, with many shops and restaurants. Pleasure Island is also there for adults who are looking for entertainment and nightlife. And if your feet hurt you can always take the complimentary bus to and from the hotel.

Not a happy family
The Royal Plaza Hotel was under construction and nobody in the whole hotel could not open there sliding glass doors to go out on the balcony. I did not see any construction going on. We were just very dissapointed in the service and the restaurant. The cost and quality of the food was horrible.

You had to drive or take a cab everywhere. One good thing is that the hotel had a town car service that sat outside the hotel so that there was a car there whenever you needed to go.

The Royal Plaza was a wonderful hotel. we had a little issue with the room they first gave us because all we had a view of was the parking lot, but once I went to the front desk they changed our room right away to a pool view. Great experience...

Disney...for less!
Our room was on the 11th floor and overlooked the Disney Market Place. It was nice. Also, there was a shuttle which took you to the park. It was easy. Only warning, if you do the standard room they are in the lower floors, lots of traffic. Also, the restaurant in the hotel is pricy. However, overall, it was a great stay. I am extremely picky about linen and clean rooms and I was very happy. The location was great...across from the Disney market place.

My review of Royal Plaza in the Walt Disney World Resort
Staff is very friendly and accomodating at Royal Plaza, however it is a good 1/2 mile to Downtown Disney with no shuttle transportation. This was an exhausting walk for the senior members of our party. Dining facility at this hotel was lacking, so meals were always on Disney property. One of our rooms had ongoing problems with the AC - either blasting cold or the correction was stifling warm air. This was never properly corrected despite several conversations with the staff.

Calm and relaxing
Enjoyed the pool and outdoor bar. The room accommodations were spacious, as well as the bath. It was nicely decorated. The Royal Plaza is in walking distance to Downtown Disney. The staff was curteous and helpful. The game room was fun for the grandchilren as well as the adults. The ambiance of the hotel is one of calm and quiet. Our stay was lovely.

Have had better stays at this hotel
We were in a pool side room on the first floor, but were not told that some construction was taking place and we could not go out on the patio or get to the pool from our pool side room.

My review of Royal Plaza in the Walt Disney World Resort
Very comfortable room, plushy bedding and pillows. Our room was near the lobby and we did hear the constant rumbling of the courtesy buses all evening long - it sounded somewhat like a construction zone. We also had to keep the air conditioner running to ease the noise from the room upstairs as they had children running back and forth and there is apparently not enough insulation between floors. One odd aspect of this hotel is considering it is a 4 star hotel it was very odd to be poolside and see blue tarp covering part of the roof. It was faded and ripped so apparently had been there for some time. Maintenance issues?

Good Hotel to Stay at
The hotel was kept up very well, my only one complaint was that there were no light switches in the room so when it was dark it was hard to find a lamp.

Very surprised
