Great family getaway
Everyone was very helpful. Especially Terry in the Bellman area. I was traveling with elderly parents and he help with parking, luggage, places to eat and things to see at Epoct. They need to give him a raise!

Okay Disney Experience
Was expecting a true 4-satr hotel. This hotel was being renovated. It needed the renovation, and I wish we had visited after the work had been done. Best aspect was use of Disney transportation, but you're better off at a nicer official Disney Hotel or saving your money at an offsite resort (which can be really nice) and paying for parking at the Parks.

Beautiful but NEED UPDATES ASAP!!!
When I first stayed at the Royal Plaza in the 90's it was great. Now that I am back, still the same.... same TV's same old stuff... this is a very nice hotel it just needs some TLC and upgrade many things.... the location and the staff is great but it makes you feel you are back to the 90's with the OLD BOX TV and the door that doesn't completely close to the bathroom.

It is a grat location, can go walking to Dowmntown Disney, it is wonderful you don"t have to drive.

Great location!
4 start is too high for the hotel but I cannot call it mediocre either. I will say "very good". The best feature, the staff, friendly, informative, serviceable, trained for the hospitality industry. The room was very clean, but simple. I heard lots of noises. Doors shutting down. A truck early in the morning, probably picking up the garbage. Taking a shower was a mission. The hot water keep coming and going. I tried all combinations and I never got steady hot water. There are only 31 TV channels and they kept going in and out. At one point we received a message to pay the bill (I guess the cable bill) or service will be shut down, right in the middle of the screen. My husband said "do we also have to pay to watch TV?". We were unable to watch the program for about 25 minutes. The hallway carpets need a good cleaning. The Giraffe Cafe offers excellent service. Front desk staff, enthusiastic and courteous. Valet, questionable, a little bit on the rude side. The price for the location is fantastic, closed to Downtown Disney and a shopping plaza with plenty of eating choices, but then they hit you with resort fee and self parking fee, outrageous! Once was enough for me, I am not coming back.

Beds comfortable. Room was clean and comfortable location great. Tv's are old but that's okay. I have stayed there before and knew about 16 dollar resort fee that includes the internet. Last time I stayed there parking was included in the resort fee and now it is $11 dollars per day. I think that is a bit of a scam. I feel $16 dollars is plenty for parking and internet. This makes value of hotel less. Might as well stay at a value Disney resort which doesn't charge for parking.

Family Getaway
The hotel is old, and semi-updated. But if you are paying attention to details like broken mirror on closets or the molding not being cleaned or caulking used to fix bathroom instead of regrouting...this is not the place for you. I knew we just needed a decent place to sleep, where I didn't think I was going to get bedbugs—since we were going to be at the parks all day. And, that my friend is all this place is good for. DO NOT eat in the over-priced understaffed Giraffe cafe—unless you liked overcooked microwaved food—and if you want to wait an hour for that! The front desk had one person working and we had to wait at least 45min to check-in. Be forewarned. This is just a place close to Disney that is cheap—but that is all it is...

Nice stay
Average hotel ok for Disney. Nice bar and limited menu. Good for kids. Nice pool and bus service. Dinner is free for kids. However, would much rather prefer that breakfast was free for kids. Hotel daily fee of 16$ is ridiculous.

lighting
hi, the only thing we complaint about was poor lighting in the bathroom however they told us all of their bathrooms are kept with dim lighting so we said OK. not a problem, everything else was fine.
