Beautiful landscaping and comfy room

We stayed at a Disney Resort and attended La Nouba - Cirque du Soleil. We also visited and dined in Downtown Disney. We experienced a very enjoyable weekend. The only downside is the highly inflated cost of everything!

Fantastic family getaway

We relaxed and enjoyed our stay at the lodge. We took the Disney shuttle to Disney parks and properties. There was nothing missing, our stay was very enjoyable. Our only regret was that the time went to fast.I would say that this trip was comparable to any previous trip taken.

Weekday Getaway

First time staying at Wilderness Lodge, it was fantastic. Stayed on the Club Level and the service was phenomenal. Loved the ceiling fans in the room, and the private balcony. The Old Faithful Club had great breakfast in the morning and wine and hors d'oeuvres in the evening -- different every day we stayed. We rented bikes down by the beach, and took the nature trail around Bay Lake over to Fort Wilderness. It was beautiful. The pool was great, but best first thing in the morning-- it was just us and the ducks. Watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the boat dock one night after dinner. Fell asleep the last night with the patio door open and nodded off to the sound of the waterfall--had the best nights sleep in quite awhile. Ate at Artist Point on our last night, and the food was a little disappointing. We've been eating there for the last 12 years, and it seems to have slipped a bit--still great service and tasty food, but not as good as it once was. All in all, though, it was a fantastic place to stay -- we'll be doing it again in the future.

The main pool can get a little loud, but before 8am, the sun is still mild and the pool is quiet and cool. You may even have a swimming buddy in a duck or two... Perfect place to watch the flags being raised over the main building.

Very relaxing

The room was a little small for the price, not much larger than the value resorts. Grounds are beautiful. We'd stay there again

Lovely resort and more fun than Grand Fl

Great for kids - lots to look at and do - the pool area is wonderful - pool parties, hoola hoops, crafts, water slide, etc. Also, bus to magic kingdom goes frequently with little wait times.

Fantastic family getaway

Very impressed that I was able to check into my room at 8:30 am and that it was ready for me. Resort perks are amazing in terms of extra magical hours, free parking, transportation, ability to get tickets on site. Food was excellent, service was excellent. Hot tubs were wonderful, loved the scenery. Wish we had more time to spend there.

Great first Disneyworld Trip

The boat access to the Magic Kingdom is great! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The entire resort is impeccably clean. The only complaints that I have are the parks close late and often you want "real food" upon your return. The gift shop with supplies and the snack bar (both of which have normal food like fruit) close around 10pm or 11pm which is too early unless you planned ahead. The buses also ran too far apart for a fairly busy time at Disneyland. Our average wait was over thirty minutes for a bus which is too long. And finally a bus from the parks to Downtown Disney would be great since some people want to go directly from the parks to dinner or lunch outside the major crowds. Another plus on this one is the restaurant choice at Downtown Disney was GREAT! We loved the "irish pub".

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

Go to the other parks that don't have the "added or magic hours" during the day and then switch over to those parks at night during that time. Most people don't like to change parks so the parks with the added hours are very crowded during the day but thin out during that time. If you go to the other parks before that time they tend to be a little less crowded because of this.
