Nice, quiet place to stay
Overall, the resort was nice and we didn't have any major issues. The kitchen appliances were showing their age, but the rest of the room looked nice. Only thing that didn't work was the WiFi. We called once, and they reset something and it worked for about 5 minute and stopped again. There was hardly ever anyone else around, so good place to go if you don't want to be around a ton of people.

More time
Almost everything about Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa was perfect. The only real drawback was the overall size of the place. I wish I'd had more time to take advantage of the resort's features...there's so much to do without ever leaving the property. My advice is to plan for some down time to take advantage of resort's activities.

2 room Villa
We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa(paddock). We had a king suite and a 2 queen bed room. It had 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. There were many activities for our little one on the resort, I would recommend staying an extra day or two just to have fun at the resort it's self. We were next to a small kids pool area, that our 3 year old loved! It had two small slides and a water area she could run around in. There was also a larger pool with a slide for the adults. There are bus stops through out the resort to take to the parks. The bus rides were a little longer then excepted. Waiting for a bus and then getting back to the resort could take an hour if not longer. That was the only negative thing I would say about our stay.

Visiting Disney's parks for 6 days
This property is huge, includes a golf course and about 4 different swimming pools that the kids love. The personnel in the reception is very kind with the kids and give a lot of stickers, hats, etc. The reason I don't rate this hotel better is because I was expecting to see one of the characters in the hotel, Mickey, Donald, whichever, based on the price. There are other properties in the area, not Disney of course, at half the price of this one with the same cleanliness and comfort. The bus service runs fine.

Fantastic Accomodations
This hotel was excellent for our family of five! Fabulously clean, especially for an older property. Fun pool, with zero entry for the baby to play in and a water slide for other kids. Upon check-in, we were treated like royalty, lavishing the kids with stickers, tiaras and buttons and granting Mom and Dad a wonderful surprise of having a room available for a 9 am check-in. The property was gorgeous, albeit quite large. We were shuttled to our room, which although it was on the "older" side, more importantly was pristine! Our one bedroom villa actually had a door that closed off the bedroom from the sleeping area in the living room, allowing for different nap times and bed times. The washer and dryer were very convenient, allowing us to pack lightly. The kitchen was fully stocked, from silverware to dishwashing soap. Everyday the cleaning service would not only pick up our room, but also load any dishes into the dishwasher and clean the kitchen - allowing us to get up early and get to the parks. The hotel's shuttle service to other areas of Walt Disney World worked great. Only once did we wait more than 10 minutes. The only issue that prompted me to rate this hotel a four was the hotel's main line. We heard over and over, just dial Zero for help of any kind. Most of the time the hotel staff did not know the answer, or worse, gave us wrong information. Everything from, can you tell me where I am staying in the resort (it was a HUGE property), does the shuttle run after 10 pm, is there transportation back to the main lobby, child care services, dvd rentals...often times my husband and I would both call and get different answers. Other than that, this was a wonderful experience. Great hotel for families, with excellent accomodations.

Time-saving tip:
Long walk from hotel
Be aware that if you do head out for a night at Downtown Disney, which is right next door to this property. You can take the shuttle there, but after 10 pm you can't take it back. You have to take the boat ride. Which sounded fun, until they dropped us off and we realized we had a 1/2 mile walk back to our room with three little ones in tow.

The nightlife is downtown disney and the walk is long unless you stay in congress park but the water shuttle is very nice and leaves about every 20 minutes.

Can't wait to come back
I have to say, for the most part I was just looking for a place to crash in between our fun and excitement at Disney World. I have to say I was still impressed by Saratoga Springs. Their gym was excellent, they had pools everywhere, and I was impressed by the number off activities they had going on, especially for the kids, even though you could be going to Disney. I'd stayed at one of the "Value" Disney resorts in the past and while to be honest, the 'studio' room wasn't that much more impressive. For the curious, I think the trip from there to Magic Kingdom was about 15-20 minutes. Of course, if you want much faster than that it would be difficult for this price. Downtown Disney is actually within walking distance. The only real 'complaint' I had was that the clock in the room was set to the wrong time and there didn't seem to be any way to set it. However, I'm sure concierge services would have taken care of it - they were quick to answer any and all questions we had. We just didn't bother. Also - the Artist's Pallet Restaurant had very good food. Higher price than fast food, but much higher quality. They also let you make substitutions with no problem - bounty platter with extra eggs instead of the potatoes? No problem, no questions asked.
