Disney groups hotel properties into three categories: value, moderate and deluxe. Pop Century is a value resort, great for families on a budget. Themed around trends spanning the 1950s through to the 1990s, the exterior makes guests feel like they've entered a time-warp filled with popular fads, toys and catchphrases from decades past. Dive under the water jets at the Hippy Dippy Pool before watching complimentary evening screenings of classic Disney movies under Orlando's night sky. Meals are taken care of at the Everything Pop Shopping & Dining are - fill up on pizza, pasta, flatbreads and waffles, or order a drink at the Petals Pool Bar.

Neighborhood
Disney Pop Century sits minutes away from Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and is set back from the busy roads of Orlando, minimizing traffic noise. Complimentary shuttles run to various entertainment and shopping venues, while the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex just down the road is a technology-loaded place to watch an event, be it football, baseball, basketball, soccer, or any other athletic spectacle.
Hints and tips
Unlike many other hotels in Orlando, Pop Century has its own bus that shuttles guests to and from all Disney parks and Downtown Disney.

For the best access to the main pool area and food hall, request a room in either of the 4,000 or 5,000 blocks.

Everything was great but...

Everything was great except for the noisy, leaking shower head in the bathroom. I had to make sure the shower handle was tightly twisted to the OFF position to get the water to stop dripping! The Front Desk staff was tremendously helpful and the wristbands are perfect for those of us that don't like to carry around cash/debit cards or room keys!

Pop Century

The room was ok. House keeping didn't do that great of a job cleaning. Had potato chips on the floor, we didn't have any chips our whole trip. Room had small refrigerator which was nice to have. Room was just an ordinary hotel room.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Buy food before you arrive to Disney. Sandwiches would be a good thing to have in the room. Crackers also, and maybe a case of water and sodas. This will save you a ton of money.

gREAT vALUE rESORT

We really enjoyed our stay at Pop Century! It was a very fun themed and still had that Disney feel and magic touch! We were upgraded to the preferred building upon check in. The hotel was great and housekeeping added all sorts of Disney magical touches! The only thing was transportation was not reliable. Sometimes we would wait over 30 mins for a bus. Which seems like forever when you want to get to the parks. Otherwise a great stay!

Two pieces of bread cost 69cents. If you ask the cashier they will give you a whole loaf for $3.99. We brought Peanut butter with us and had cheap lunch for the week!

Mother daughter Disney getaway

Very pleased with our 8 night stay at Disney's Pop Century Hotel. We have stayed at Disney Moderate and Deluxe resorts, but this was our first stay at a Value resort which ended up being a very positive experience. The hotel rooms and grounds were very clean and the staff were great. We loved all of the decor through out the resort. The Hippy Dippy pool was a lot of fun and my daughter had a great time at their pool party fun and game time in the afternoon. We stayed in the 80's building and the walk to the Classic Dining Hall and bus stop was not bad at all. My only recommendation for guests planning to stay at Pop Century would be to bring your own beach towels to use at the pool. The room towels are also to be used as your pool towels and they are a bit on the small side. I would definitely stay at Pop Century again.

Great Disney budget hotel

Pop Century is a Disney hotel that is centrally located to all Disney Parks. This is a no frills hotel room, but outstanding benefits if you want to go to Disney Parks. Free airport pick up and drop off; easy and frequent buses to all parks PLUS extra magic park hours as Disney guest. Only on site food option is a cafeteria. Food was good, but like all things Disney, very pricey. Open every night to midnight, which was great when Parks close at 11. Wish there had been coffee maker IN room, although you can buy all you can drink mug for $16 and get coffee, tea, soda and hot cocoa for entire visit.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Take advantage of early morning Disney Park hours. Yes, you have to get up early, but there is NO WAITING for any ride in that first hour. And head's up, the evening Magic hours are useless. Too many people already in Park.
