My favorite resort

Disney's Polynesian hotel is the perfect "go to" get away. Even if the Magic Kingdom is crowded, the Polynesian is my favorite place to get away from crowds and sit by the pool, read, swim, partake in my favorite beverage, or watch the ducks! It's quiet and clean. I will definitely go back again and again. Just wish it wasn't so expensive!

Mother and Daugher trip

Our 4th stay at Poly but first at Club level there. We felt so spoiled! The newly remodeled rooms are so beautiful. The lounge area was fantastic! Of course, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Pool, food, beach, boat, busses, monorail and MK all steps away. Watching Wishes from Lounge was a great way to end our day :) The CM's are so friendly at the Poly, an Aloha always given! Oh yeah and the Tiki lights at night are just so POLY!!!

Wonderful Disney vacation

We enjoyed the Polynesian very much. It was great to see the beach from our lanai. We enjoyed watching the fireworks from the beach too. We took advantage of the ferry service to the Magic Kingdom from the resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I especially love the tropical theme at the Polynesian. I would probably stay here again although the price is rather steep.

Family vacation

Hotel was not what I expected for a 4 star. Room had no view, except a big ugly tree. Toilet problems from check in until the day we left, had Maintenance come twice to try to unclog. No turn down service at night like the Disneyland resort hotels. No easy restaurant to go to have a nice meal without booking well in advance and paying out the nose for character greetings. Minor problem, TV remote needed new batteries and after they didn't show for 3 hours, I had to call again. Location was OK with the monorail at he hotel. We left he hotel to catch the Disney bus to the airport at 4 am and no workers in sight throughout he lobby or outside. Felt very unsafe. Sorry, but you asked for my opinion!

My daughters 4th birthday

Great experience, the staff was very helpful and catered to all our needs. One night I called the front desk to ask where I could warm up some food, they said they would bring me a microwave, my microwave arrived to my room in about 10min. The room was very clean and very spacious. The monrail was located on the second floor of the hotel, the magic kindom was only two stops away. Great experience and had a great time.

Great Hotel Stay

We booked a stay here from 8/15/12 to 8/21/12. We arrived before check in, but our room was ready so we were allowed to go up there. We found the room to be decorated nicely. The furniture is dark in color and I really like that. We had a patio that overlooked the lagoon and the castle. The hotel is in a great location. It was within walking distance of the Ticket and Transportation Center to get to Epcot. The Polynesian is on the monorail, so this made it very convenient to Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. Our stay was one of the best stays I have had at Disney. I have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, Boardwalk Villas, and the Grand Floridian and I feel that the Polynesian is the best for the money that was paid. The restaurants Kona Grill and 'Ohanas were fantastic. The service was very good in the restaurants as well as the hotel itself. The only thing that I would say that needs to be fixed is the signage for your longhouse. There were signs for The Great Ceremonial House, the Luau Cove, the boat launch as well as the monorail, but there were no signs indicating which way to go to find your longhouse. They do provide maps, but we still had issues locating the longhouse, especially at night.

Amazing family trip to Disney

We just visited Walt Disney World and stayed at the Polynesian Resort. We LOVED the resort location, amentities, swimming pool, restaurants, and general feeling of being at the resort. We really felt like we slipped away to Hawaii. It was a great family vacation and we can't wait to go back and stay there again!

Fun first trip to Disney!!

The beach and pool were good spots to relax after a busy day at the parks.... The Hotel was very kid friendly and not very pricey. The concierge room was questionably worth it..... not a lot of food available, but continuous soda and milk which was helpful. The concierge staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurants were good but there was always a wait.....make sure to make reservations way ahead of time. The Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch and Mickey and Pluto was well worth it!!! My little one loved it. Book the earliest time so you dont have to wait in a line! Not a very fancy hotel but the kids seem to like it..... Overall, we had a great time.

Buses to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studio are very crowded in the morning...standing room only. We took a taxi from the hotel to Hollywood Studio for about $16 and were pleased that we didn't have to crowd our 18 month old in the bus. It was well worth it. If you return by bus it is usually OK

Great Family Spot!

The grounds and pool were amazing. Very inviting and fun to return to after days in the parks. Staff checking in was a bit harried--insist on getting your flower lei! They are fun and set the tone. Staff will most likely forget.... Rooms were a bit old, problems with a door, but the location and ambiance was great.

Captain Cook's is easy if you are in a rush and starving. The walk up computer terminal quick service is a life saver. Especially good if you are tired of standing in lines all day!
