The best spot in Disney right now
I read the reviews prior to selecting Grand Floridian and was concerned because we read about construction. When we arrived everything was perfect and the hotel is inspiring and extremely comfortable. The grounds were full of well kept flowers. The only thing was on our first day the room smelled a little like bleach although after we went to the theme park and came back all was tidy and very comfortable. The hotel connects to both the monorail and the boat rides. The hotel was very well maintained and very colorful. We could see the fireworks and light shows from the hotel clearly. In fact, best view I think.

Great Location, Very Expensive
My wife and I and our 2 year old stayed at the sugarloaf club for 5 days 4 nights. The location is great, the grounds are beautiful, and it is one monorail stop from the Magic Kingdom. It is also very expensive and I really did not see the value in staying there. The room was nice if old fashioned. The club lounge was ok. Not the greatest breakfast selection and the food came out at 730 even when extra magic hours at the MK started at 700. The 750 a night is probably better spent somewhere else. You would think that Disney would give you an all day fast pass for the amount of money you spend like Universal does. Maybe they could look into that and I would reconsider spending that much again.

Beautiful, Elegant Ambience
What a wonderful, charming, lovely, ornate Victorian splendor! It is tuly breathtaking upon entering this grandeous hotel. The staff is ultra helpful with anything one would want. A person is truly transported to a most luxurious, effulgence, and illustrious elegance. It is a glorious Victorian structure but is up-to-date with modern conveniences as well. We were overjoyed!! Several of the restaurants we tried were simply FABULOUS! Our room (garden room) was lovely, large, and was well kept up daily-we also enjoyed the chocolates left on our pillows at night! We are hoping since this is our 2nd time we will be upgraded to club-as our dear friends were a few years ago. The convenience of the monorail picking us up on the second level to Magic Kindgom was also very appreciated! All in all everyone (if they can) SHOULD EXPERIENCE this incredible hotel resort at least once or better yet twice or three times or more-smile! Have a super day!!

Construction Site
I booked 2 rooms at the Grand Floridian for my family and parents. We have been to disney more times than we can count and looked forward to staying at the prestigious GF!! We were greeted like we were royalty, but when we entered the resort we noticed construction everywhere!!!! It was truly a construction site...the walking path would be blocked off to allow machinery to pass!! Only disney in all of their arrogance would fail to mention the construction and still charge top $$$$....$800 a night!!! I recommend looking at any other resort before paying to stay at the construction site!

Great stay at the Grand Floridian
We stayed for three nights at the Grand Floridian. The price is high, but the quality certainly makes it worth while. The location is great as the tram goes right from the second floor. The room was beautiful and the grounds are wonderful. Food is exceptional in the restaurant and the 24 hour grill has very good food, snacks and drinks. Would definitely stay again. More adult oriented than other resorts.

Beautiful hotel
It is just difficult to transfer from one monorail to another to get to Ebcot when one of the parties has bad back. This may be for all Disney hotels, The hotel is lovely and the staff was very helpful. This was my second stay at this hotel.

Wonderful place
Fantastic place!! Worth every penny!! Perfect location!! Food was amazing, kids pool with waterfall and slide, second pool huge, planned activities for kids, pool side movies every night, 24 hour grill, watched fireworks from resort. We have always stayed off Disney for our past trips to save money and this trip was the best yet- worth the extra money. Very relaxing-- no car rental-- no car seats-- my husband and I actually were able to relax. We took the Disney Expess to and from the airport- no stress. We will never stay anywhere else again. We ate

Fantastic
The Grand Floridian is a fantastic place to stay - but you pay a pretty penny for it! I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The staff was very helpful, the maids cleaned our rooms very well, and the location was fantastic. It was fun (and convenient!) to use the monorail to get to Epcot and Magic Kingdom. The hotel is expensive, but it's a great experience for your Disney trip!

Relaxing stay, 4 star restaurants
Quiet hotel with friendly service, employees are knowledgable and want to help you. Citrico and Narcosee are 4 star restaurants with a great staff, conveniently located on the grounds. Lobby has live music, great character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. 2 pools, 1 has a water slide our kid loved.
