Family Gathering

Your staff needs special (re) training on customer relations. I mean ALL of them that we have been in contact with, only 2 amazing exceptions: Earl from booking our dine show tickets and Josephine from seating us for dinner. We rented a golf cart and highly recommended it to those that don't like or can't take long walks. Restaurant food is delicious. Make sure you make reservations in advance and have them input notes in their systems for any special requests.

FAMILY FUN

We had a wonderful time at Fort Wilderness. We stayed in a cabin and rented a golf cart. The kids were very busy swimming, fishing, bike riding, roasting marshmallows, and watching the fireworks at night. We will be back!

Rent a golf cart when staying in the cabins. That is much more convenient than waiting on the bus to transport you within the campgrounds.

Why stay anywhere else?

This is our second stay at the cabins and we love it, and my kids could stay there all summer! They're not cooped up in a hotel room and can run around without bothering anyone. We can cook our own food. The kids can run around and find bugs, frogs and geckos. In fact, when I asked my oldest son what his favorite part of our vacation was (which included all 4 Disney parks, Seaworld and Discovery Cove) he said "The Cabins!" Love it!

Great weekend

Having a couple cabins next to each other for the whole to group to hang out together was great. So nice to getaway from the tradional "hotel" weekend, more personable and comfortable.

Bring you own "approved" fire pit if your interested in campfires nightly. This way you have your personal fire at your cabin and not in the common area.

Great wilderness disney experience

We stayed 4 days in one of the wilderness cabins. 4 adults and 2 children (4 & 2). We had plenty of space. The only downside is the one bathroom makes getting everyone ready a little more difficult. The full kitchen was great for helping save money on food. The transportation to and from magic kingdom takes a bit longer than other hotels, but we didn't find it to be a problem.

Great for kids

We had a great time, however would not use this Disney resort again. Cabin was nice & clean but resort is so big that you really do need to rent a golf cart to get around, $60.00 a day! Also not a great selection of food, I would recommend eating at other resorts or at the parks.

family vacation

We had a great time. You can save a lot on food having the cabin. You will need to rent a golf cart to get around camp grounds $60 a day. The beds were comfortable but I wish the double was a queen.
