Best Experience

Very clean and not a typical style. It is a resort style with excellent service. Since it is part of Disney, all services to Disney locations were easily accessible. Loved the entire experience.

beautiful surroundings!

While so close to Animal Kingdom, it seems to be nestled around a beautiful lake. The woodwork in the room was gorgeous! Our only real complaint was that upon check-in the "cast member" threatened to make us change rooms (a few hours wait) because as he put it "our computers don't talk to [...]" and the room we were placed in was for the hearing impaired. We ended up staying in the room, and it was fine. Very nice, but very pricey.

The best part about staying in a Disney hotel is that different parks either open 1 hour early or remain open 3 hours late for you! Shorter lines are great!!

don't waste your money

Hotel too spread out with no way to get around except walking. would have appreciated golf cart transportation on a regular schedule. refillable mugs were a waste b/c you had to walk to main bld (8-9 min) everytime you wanted a refill. pool bar not open often. water pressure in shower nonexistent, "dig site" very small and shallow, thermostat in room would only stay on 72, thin walls, hard to find room (small signage)...have stayed at Wilderness Lodge on previous occasion, wish I would have spent the extra money!

unfortunate happenings

We were confined to our room, due to my husband breaking his arm on the very first breakfast in the hotel dining room. Consequently we could not do anything we planned to do. We also had to leave a day early because of an appointment with orthopedic surgeon in Sarasota. We did receive a rebate for the early departure.

Wonderful Disney Experience

Huge hotel, but it really was not a problem getting around. Bus service to Disney was fast and convenient. We were so busy and the parks were so crowded that we did not get a chance to spend much time at the hotel to use any of the amenities or restaurants. The pool looked nice, and was heated. The staff was friendly and helpful. I am sure the the place was nearly full, but it is so spread out and well designed that there were times that we felt like we were the only guests. If you want a comfortable clean and friendly place to sleep while taking in all that Disney has to offer, this is an excellent choice.... especially if you can get it at a good discounted price. WAY better than the value resorts!

GOOD BARGAIN

Front desk was very far from room. Food court was confusing, and the food was terrible! Lousy tiki bar that closed way too early, and lousy inside lounge that opened way too late [8:00 pm].
