Boardwalk
Great time with far more options than time to do. Enjoyed watching NFL playoff game and lunch at ESPN Club, swin and hot tub hotel, and shopping and entertainment on the Boardwalk.

Boardwalk Villa
We checked into a Villa at Boardwalks that officially sleeps 5 (impossible!!) The rooms are so small that we requested to be moved out. Even for 2 people it would be crowded. management admitted that we were right but that the Disnye Experience is to feel close to one another. We were rebooked to the Saratoga Springs whicgh was great. For sure only go to Boardwalk if your party consists of 2 people per room

Four days with MIckey
I traveled to Orlando from Philly to visit my son's family who were traveling from Houston. The hotel had our rooms ready when we arrived, however my son's family's room they had been assigned had not been cleaned. There was a dirty coffee cup on the counter among other things. We went back to the front desk, the apologized and assigned them a different room (they were in a suite). My room was a one bedroom. Nice little kitchen area with microwave and fridge. My room looked over the Luna Pool, but it was closed for repairs. Not a big deal since it was cold while we were there. A few things that weren't up to Disney standards: the hot weather faucet in the bath area came off in my hand in the middle of thenight the first night. The sink also didn't drain. The little fridge made a pretty loud noise at night when it went on, so I turned it off. There was a fair amount of noise I could hear in the hallway. It woke me up two nights. Once there was a guy who his kids locked out (pretty funny) but it was around one a.m., so I wasn't so amused. The restaurants at the Boardwalk are so packed (what recession?) that you must have reservations or you aren't going to get in to eat unless you're willing to wait two hours.

Great location
The Boardwalk Villas are a great choice, especially if you are planning on visiting Epcot. The Studio style room gives you the same space as a standard hotel room with the added convenience of a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and extra sink. Great for heating up leftovers! The only negative is the distance of your room from the lobby. This is a sprawling hotel! Be prepared to walk!

Beautiful Resort
The staff was great! We used the online check-in, and spent less than one minute at the desk! Beautiful grounds, rooms, pool, etc. Christmas decor was really nice. Short walk to Epcot, about 5 minutes. Longer walk, but pretty, to Hollywood Studios. The boats are very convenient to and from both Epcot and the Studios. Fun pool! The only downfall is the location for using refillable mugs. It is in the tiny Boardwalk Bakery, and they don't put the drinks into your mug, but a disposable cup. The lines are very long, with no place to stand.Great resort for adults and kids alike.

Boardwalk Inn
We love the location, the boardwalk is so nice to stroll just to get a break from the park. The pool area is great, there are great unused tennis courts on the property, and great choices to grab something to eat on the boardwalk. It is an easy walk to Epcot. The hotel was great, no complaints really at all. There are Pack N Play cribs in the rooms which if we had known we would not have hauled ours for the baby. The biggest downfall of all the Disney Hotels on Disney property is waiting for the bus. Never Never Never have we gotten a bus in 5 to 10 minutes. From the boardwalk to downtown disney it took one hour. We waited 23 minutes for a bus, and then the bus travels to all of the other properties along the route before arriving to downtown disney. It was a 10 minute cab ride at most for $10 that brought us back to the hotel that evening. ESPN has the best food on the boardwalk.

Hess Gas station is right across the street, buy snacks, ect.... for your room there. The room had a toaster, microwave, kitchen sink, refrigerator, and some basic dishes..... easy to prepare a snack or light meal or bring your own cooler full of goodies.

Great location, awesome pool
Great location. Loved walking to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Awesome pool with a great slide. Only problem was that there were kids outside in the hall and by the pool at all hours of the night. I did ask one of the kids if he could keep it down (no parent was around) and that helped for the remainder of the night. Same problem the next evening though. We have a child so its just something we dealt with. Great place and have been here on 4 occassions already!

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Around 7PM there are performers who go out to the Boardwalk area. Great interactions with the audience. Also, if walking to the Studios, cut through the villas to maximize your time indoors. After that, its about a 10 minute walk along the water.

Disney's BoardWalk Villas
My wife and I decided to take a New Year's trip to Disney to enjoy the parks, fireworks, restraunts and fun. We stayed right on the boardwalk at Disney's BoardWalk Villas. We had a very nice Jr. suite (includes a sink, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, basics -- but no stove). Our view was right onto the "square" in the heart of the boardwalk on the top floor. The suite had a quaint balcony that we spend all of New Year's eve on... there was a party in the square that was really fun, and we could see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT right from our cozy spot. We were within a quick water taxi from EPCOT (which we visited and enjoyed greatly)... and within walking distance of the Swan and Dolphin (the Swan has an AMAZING Italian restaurant and the Dolphin has a Shula's steakhouse... very nice!... and an upscale seafood/sushi place... also very nice). We were also within walking distance of an amazing mini-golf course and the shops and restaurants on the boardwalk are right at your doorstep and also very good and fun. We also went to the Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney and had a really amazing extended weekend. As a couple with no children, we were wondering how the experience would be, but it was a fanstastic "adult" vacation with so much to so and see... but it also could have been great for kids too. Overall... FANTASTIC!

Dining tip:
Not Applicable
When looking for "upscale, unique" restaurants, look at properties and venues on the Disney property, but that are not necessarily "Disney" restaurants. We ate at EPCOT (Teppan Edo) and Downtown Disney (House of Blues)... both of which were available to make reservations on the Disney site and were very good, but the best restaurants we ate at were at the Swan and Dolphin and were not publicized that we could find on the Disney site and not available on the Disney dining plan (that we could tell).
