Disney's Art of Animation Resort

We did littler mermaid rooms, small small. Beds butt up against door and could not roll stroller in room, had to fold up. Be prepared for small little mermaid room. Pools nice, grounds clean. Resort busy but during day pools are nice while people are at parks. Overall, probably would not stay again.

I stayed at this hotel May 19th - 26th of 2013 and my kids loved it. We stayed in the cars room and the finding Nemo room and they were very nice rooms. I personally preferred the Cars room. The room was clean the hotel was very nicely decorated. The pool areas were very nice and so was the playground. The hotel was very big but the lake area was a nice place to relax after the parks. The food was okay I didn't really care for the dinner selection but you may like it. The gift shop was also nice but of course expensive. You will enjoy yourself here. It was a great first Disney experience for me and my family. I also loved the movies under the stars activity. It was cute

While I gave this hotel 4 stars, I want it to be clear that this property is nothing special - consider it the Red Roof Inn of Disney. No restaurant on property - only a cafeteria and the option to order in pizza. That's it. However, if you have young children who are into Cars, Lion King, Finding Nemo, or Little Mermaid, and you don't care about luxurious amenities, this is a great option. The suites are very well laid out - 2 bathrooms, separate "master" its own attached bathroom, main living area includes sofabed and murphy bed (that folds onto the kitchen table). Examples of where things were a little short on luxury - pool has a "BYOT" (towel) policy, bathroom products are limited to bar of soap and 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner. Note that the pool in the Nemo area was the most fun - and there is a playground near that area, too. We enjoyed watching a movie under the stars outdoors one night that we were there.

My family and I loved the hotel, especially the big blue pool with the under water music. Staff was friendly and helpful and the value was great.

This was our first trip to Disney with kids (my husband and I both went ourselves and children and as adults) and I couldn't have asked for a better hotel for us! We stayed in one of the Cars themed one bedroom suites and it worked perfectly for our family (3 1/2 yr old and 10 month old). We were able to let our children take naps, while still allowing us to be up and watch tv, etc. The two bathrooms worked out great and the kitchenette allowed us to be able to save some money by eating breakfast and occasional lunches in our room. Both of our children loved the pool (zero depth and splash area were wonderful!) and our three year old could not stop gushing about all of the life size characters around the resort. We loved the food court and arcade (which was great activity option when it rained!). The only downside of the resort is that it is a value resort, which means they have no pool towels (they have LOTS of towels in the room you can use, but I still brought beach towels) and they were small. However, Disney did an AMAZING job with even the little touches in our room that made for a great stay. Some of the things my husband and I found very useful were the clothesline over the bathtub in the kids bathroom, disposable plates, bowls, and utensils which are replenished each day, and the table/Murphy bed (my son's absolute favorite part of the room). I highly recommend this hotel and found it to be worth the extra money to stay in the suite versus a regular room at a moderate resort (I am comparing this to the amenities and cost of Caribbean Beach resort, which I have stayed at) . I can handle having a combo shampoo/conditioner option and smaller towels/no pool towels in order to have all of the other extra amenities that this wonderfully themed resort has to offer. We will be staying at the Art of Animation again for sure on our next Disney vacation!

We had a great time at Art of Animation and I would definitely stay there again. We have a child with food allergies and one of the chefs would come out the help us make choices for her meal. We did have a not so helpful chef one day, but for the most part everyone was friendly and helpful. Loved the Big Blue Pool and the Nemo Suite we stayed in. The grounds are decorated very well fitting with the theme of each building.

Great theming, stayed in a Lion King family suite, and really enjoyed the nice room layout, and the two bathrooms! Pool though large not adequate for the size of the resort and number of guests. The pool also kept getting closed due to diaper leakage, or throw up in the pool. Yuck! Not the hotels fault, but happend multiple times.

We stayed in a Lion King Suite. It was great to have the kids in a separate room. The room was beautifully decorated in Lion King theme. The was a table that we could all eat at, that turned into a bed with minimal effort. The hotel decor was also jungle/ Lion King theme. The landscape and scenes between the lion King buildings was great. Lots movie scenes setup for the kids to ooh and ahh over. The pool was nice and big and staff playing trivia with the kids. The kids splash area was closed. They had a kids movie playing outside at 8:30

Stay in little Nemo suite...... It's the closest to the pool. Pack light..... Self use coin operated laundry on site next to the pool Hit Walmart nearby for snaks for kids

Took my daughter up for her 13th birthday and she was dead set on staying here. Great hotel and the price beat the Florida discount price through their website.
