Animal Kingdom Lodge
The Animal Kingdom Lodge was amazing. As you enter the main lodge, Jambo you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We used the online checkin before we got there. Quick and easy, our keys and info were waiting for us when we got there. The hotel honored our request to be close to bus stop/hotel main house. Our room was very nice but I found the bed mattresses (hard) were not as nice as other hotels I have stayed at. The hotel is very close to Animal Kingdom Park but is at least a 25 min. bus ride to Magic Kingdom. Prices at the hotel resturants/cafe seemed high. Overall the hotel was beautiful, where else can you see giraffes and other wild animals from your room.

Christmas at Disney
Great hotel food abit pricey but its Disney, the only thing was this resort was close to Animal Kingdom but a bit far from the other parts took an average of 25-30 minutes to get to the other parks on the buses, but when your on vacation no time frame had a great time here.

Outstanding
We knew what to expect and the resort lived up to expectations. Don't miss Boma and if you are planning to stay for enough time to enjoy the resort and can stretch to it then pay the extra for the savanna view.

Boma dinner is wonderful and reasonably priced. The breakfast there is good but is frankly nothing too special and is a little pricey for a run of the mill breakfast buffet. We also found the check in for your airline on the day of departure to be more of a hassle than it is worth, if you are traveling with a major US carrier then just check in and print the boarding pass then check your bags at the airport, it is faster.

Love good service!
The animals are worth it, non-existent s
The animals are fun to look at, if you can spot them that far away. Spa is open 8-8, as if anyone would use it during the day instead of a Disney park. Disastrous food - fast food and everything is pre-packaged including the tiny baby carrots and apples. No culinary urprises with shared kitchen for all three "eateries". You clean your own tables. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were WORK.

Great Hotel. You will enjoy it!
The hotel is great considering design, theme, and ambiance. Early check-in is a waste of time unless you are the member of some sort of privileged club of some sort. We ordinary guests arrived about 12:00 hoping to check in right away but had to persist to get checked into a room by about 2:00. Of course they tell you they only guarantee check-in by 3:00 or 4:00 PM. Meanwhile, privileged guests are getting rooms as soon as they arrive. Pool is great for kids (although they have the rule that kids cannot slide down the pool slide with a parent makes no sense to me). Poolside bar is good for adults to buy beverages and sit around the pool. Sitting around the outside fire was very enjoyable for the whole family (they also have an in inside fire). Seeing the animals in the wild was neat, especially the giraffes and zebras. Boma dinner buffet is a nice treat. Price is reasonable. Definitely go there. Wait staff is fabulous and food is good. They deserve a good tip. Boma breakfast buffet is a rip-off... no more than an over-priced Golden Corral with fewer choices, long lines and frequently out of food at various stations. Most of the cooking and food line staff seem bored with their jobs and indifferent to customers. If it were half the price it would be worth it. Gift shop is cool! Definitely go there. Overall, Animal Kingdom Lodge is a very worthwhile experience. You would enjoy it... can't quite give it five stars because of disappointing breakfast buffet.

Disney Animal Kingdom Adventure
The hotel was rather neat. Lots of African cultural items throughout, not just in the lobby. We explored the hotel grounds and found many different places to view animals (including night time viewing with night vision goggles)and artifacts. The staff was very friendly and there were family activities in the hotel throughout the day. The buffet style restaurant on site had many American food items to appeal to those that may not be so adventurous. The counter service restaurant located near the pool was open late (11:30pm) and if you're staying there for a few days, its a good idea to get the refillable mug. The store at the hotel offered a great option for getting those last minute gifts as well as junk food (at a premium price). If you plan to go to Disney as we did, its not necessary to get a rental car. By using the Magic Express and Disney shuttles you'll be just fine.

Look for the extended Magical hours available to hotel guests staying on the Disney resorts, also Fast Passes are great for getting through shorter waits once at the parks.

Great Hotel
The hotel is great. The attention to detail is remarkable and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean. We got a Savannah view, which was wonderful, but not sure if its worth the extra money. for us, we spent most of the day at the parks, although it was great when we got there, didn't really make use of it.
