Great scenic hotel

The Animal Kingdom Lodge romm was even larger than imagined. It had twin sinks and a separate shower area. Our view from the balcony overlooking the savanah was breathtaking. The room itself was beautiful like being on an African Safari.

excellent service

the animal kingdom lodge was very family friendly. accomedated for all of our needs with out hesitation. it was focused towards the enjoyment of the children but adults would have no problems enjoying it as well. at night they would have african stories and the children would grab instruments and sing in the lobby. my children enjoyed the hotel more than they did disney world, MGM studio etc.

Birthday Stay

Check-in was smooth. The first room was small and dark with a little square hole for a balcony, which had a view of the front of the hotel where cars pulled up. On the balcony there was a wasp hive and an injured bird living there. Pest Control came up to take a look. In which case he called the front desk, and we were moved to a new room. The second room was bigger, and had a great view of the animals from our balcony. No complaints here. Stay was very comfortable.

Great Views

Our son loved the view of the Savannah with the animals. Being on the Disney property was very nice and taking the buses to the different parks was great. Very close to the Animal Kingdom but 15 minute bus ride to the Magic Kingdom. My wife and I both stated that this was a beautiful hotel but that the cost may not be worth the amenities when we mostly just slept there.

A Positive Disney Experience

We were welcomed wholeheartedly. The room was beautiful and comfortable, clean and roomy. We were supposed to see animals outside our room but did only a few times because we were near the edge of the section. There were more animals visible on the other side. The bathroom was beautiful. The maid neglected to give us shampoo and conditioner a couple of times during the 6 days but when we asked for it they brought it to us promptly. The breakfast brunch was wonderful - we ate ther every day. Waiting staff was anxious to please and very pleasant at all times. Concierge was always helpful. Disney transport buses were convenient and complimentary.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

MGM and The Sports Complex were a short ride away. Nothing was in walking distance. We had a problem trying to use the Go Orlando Passes since we had to go to the World of Denim to get them and no transport service would go (Disney/Miers).

Lots of animals

Animal Kingdom Lodge delivered the Savannah experience! My daughter and I were able to see Giraffes, antelope and ostriches, all from our balcony! The hotel and grounds were meticulously kept with no odor of animals whatsoever. The only negative was that there are only 2 restaurants on site (Jiko and Boma) and dinner reservations book up 1 month in advance. Also, they are doing construction and earth moving equipment can be heard and sometimes seen. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Accomadations

The Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge was a great experience for my family. I really don't think I should call it a hotel, because it is so large. The adequate parking is just a short walk form the entrance. Upon arrival everyone was extremely friendly greeting us with the phrase Welcome Home. We actually arrived 4 hours ahead of our scheduled check-in time and we were able to get into a room then. My wife is a clean fanatic and the room was spotless. Our standard room had 2 queen beds, tv, dresser, table and chairs. The bathroom was separate form the vanity area. The room also had a coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, refrigerator, and safe. We were on the third floor, and out of our balcony there was a giraffe and other animals. There is bus transportation form the hotel to all Disney destinations. Throughout our stay everyone was friendly and helpful. The front desk printed out my airline boarding passes for my flight home. We enjoyed our time at The Animal Kingdom Lodge and will be staying there again.

toddler friendly

We had a great stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Our 1-year-old had a fantastic time, she loved the animals, the pool and watching all of the other toddlers. Dining at Mara was pretty blah. And Boma was good, but you NEED reservations or be prepared to wait to eat until after 9 pm. But hotel was in good proximity to other offsite dining options, not close, but a 5-10 minute drive.
