Watch animals grazing in their natural habitats, or take a quick tour through well-maintained conservation areas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in Orlando. Amazing creatures are right outside your window, so guests can see everything from zebras, giraffes, and gazelles to elegant pink flamingoes basking in the sunshine. Enjoy a range of African, Mediterranean, Indian and European cooking at one of the four restaurants attached to the lodge complex. Then dive into the pool or watch your kids squeal with delight, sliding down waterslides, clambering across the rope bridge, and playing in big (safely fake) Venus flytraps.

Disney vacation

We stayed in a room where you could see the animals & my daughter enjoyed immensely? The room was very nice & the hotel was very clean. I'd stay there again in heartbeat.

Great for the views

You go there for the savannah view. Rooms are a little dark and dated. Overall, I would recommend it just for the animals but make sure you get a view that is more centrally located along the building to have a more panoramic view as opposed to one near a concave corner. I'd rather not be facing another person's room.

Unique and majestic.

This resort is so different than anywhere else you might choose to stay, and it is absolutely lovely. I got a very reasonable rate. I was able to link this reservation very easily to the resort's websites. I was able to do online check in a few weeks before the trip, and my requests were fairly closely met. The rooms are unique, and the resort is decorated with authentic artifacts. My check in experience was uneventful, with no surprises or extra warmth from the cast member, however a trip to the lobby concierge desk to ask a few questions about my annual pass, was handled with enthusiasm and grace by a charming cast member. We watched a poolside movie one evening, and also used night vision goggles to see the animals on the savanna, which was wonderful. The housekeeping staff was efficient and friendly. The bus service to the parks was good, not great. The busses always go to the other section of the resort first, and it is a long way away, and adds 10-15 minutes on top of a rather long return trip to the resort. We waited (albeit, not at a peak time of day) once for 45 minutes for a bus once from this resort, but otherwise we had reasonable waits for theme park transportation.

Great time at Animal Kingdom Lodge club level

Great experience from the time we pulled up to the hotel. We were greeted at the front of the hotel and taken up to club level floor and checked in.Staff was very friendly and offered assistance with anything we needed during our stay. The view from our balcony was amazing. There were a large assortment of animals right below us through most of the day especially in the morning hours.Animal Kingdom Lodge is a vacation in itself.Large pool area and quality dining from fast food to set down restaurants.

If you're looking for a cheaper breakfast than the buffet there's a walk up cafe out by the pool. Look for the Mara.

Nice, but pricey

Nice, clean hotel. Room with 2 queen beds was on the small side. Vanity and bath areas are dark- need brighter or more bulbs. On site dining good, but expensive. Arusha view rooms provide excellent animal viewing.
