Good Value

It's a nice hotel, a little crowded, lots of kids. Not too noisy, decent food selection. Clean and relatively comfortable for the money. I love it to stay on property without breaking the bank.

WONDERFUL TRIP

My wife and I stayed at the All Star Sports Hotel because our daughter's lacrosse team was also staying there. We have been to Disney numerous times but always stayed in the more expensive hotels onsite, even though the only time spent in the rooms were for sleeping. The room was clean and included everything we needed. It could do with a little remodeling and the towels were too thin. We only ate breakfast there but there were many choices of food items. The pool area was well-maintained and they had many activities for the kids. Everyone was helpful and went out of their way to be kind. The buses to ESPN Wide World of Sports only run on the half-hour, which was inconvenient. During Easter break, when many teams are there to play, the buses should run as frequently as the ones to the parks. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there and we would stay there again.

Great time, great place for what we needed

My daughter and I planned a 2-day Disney trip, and needed a room for one night. I wanted a Disney hotel so we could take advantage of the free Disney transportation. We were also on a budget, The All-Star Sports hotel fit our needs perfectly. It was easy to find and had excellent parking convenient to our room. We had a room in the Touchdown section, facing the back of the hotel and away from the busier areas. Our room had a king bed, which was perfect for the 2 of us. Check-in and check out were quick, and the food court area was huge. Since we spent the majority of our time at the parks, and the temperatures were too brisk for swimming, we did not take advantage of the pools or the arcade. The All-Star resorts are excellent places to stay if you want a non-resort hotel with all the Disney touches.

If you want to view the 9:00 pm Main Street Electrical Parade at the Magic Kingdom, be aware that viewing spots along the route start filling up almost an hour before the parade. If you wait too long, you will end up behind multiple rows of people and you won't get to see much. Also, the majority of the park guests will leave after the parade, and the park exits and lines for the monorail will clog up quickly. It's best to stay put after the parade and wait for the crowds to clear.

A regular hotel

I have to say that I wasn't all that impressed with this being a Disney Resort hotel. The room was small as was the bathroom. There weren't any tv channels to choose from except Disney and news channels. It did cost a little more than a typical say Holiday Inn hotel so next time I will choose the Holiday Inn hotel over the Disney Resort.

Good deal for the price

Rooms updated and very clean. The grounds and pool areas were very nice. Several pools- so if you wanted a quiet area to swim and read, plenty of choices. Staff friendly and helpful. They could improve on the number and frequency of buses running between resort, parks and downtown disney. Sometimes crowded buses and long lines.

Great visit, basic hotel

We had a great time at this hotel. It isn't fancy, but we got to enjoy easy access to all things Disney. The workers are very professional, and it is well run. No hot tubs here, but there are pools and movies at night. We stayed here for the Princess 1/2 marathon, and it was a good choice for the price.

Gets you on Disney Property

Room clean, but very basic. Had refrigerator but not a coffee maker. You'll have to go to the on site cafateria for that which can be a very hectic. Using Disney transportation plan it to take an hour for each trip. If you have a car, use it, you can get to any theme park faster , you get free parking with your hotel parking pass and you have a place for extra clothes, cooler, etc. It makes those early entrance times worth while. Sidenote for parents, I was here with 19 year old child because she could remeber the 3 other times she been to Disney as a small child.

Great value for money

This is the cheapest Disney on campus hotel you can get, and it pays off really well. The people are Disney friendly as always that doesn't matter in which hotel or parque you are. The room is basic but enough to relax and recharge after a day out in the parques. Amazing things they've done with the decoration, especially children will get a kick out of it. And as the cream on the crop they take you to the airport after your stay for free. Disney is just great!!

Disney on the Cheap!

I stayed at the All-Star Sports for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. I checked in and got my race packet and a little flower. Upon arrive to my room, my towels were creatively arranged in the shape of Disney's most beloved Mouse. If you’re planning to vacation at Disneyworld, the value truly doesn’t get much better than the All-Star Resorts. Just a quick and complimentary 15-minute shuttle ride from the parks, you are right in the middle of the action. The double room has a mini fridge and plenty of space for crashing in between rides! The customer service at Disney Resorts is unparalleled, and you get the benefit of “After Magic” hours with extended time at the parks with your Disney Resort room key. Make sure that you call Disney’s Magical Express directly to arrange for complimentary transportation to and from the airport, including luggage delivery and pick-up and airline check-in. If you want to do Disney on the cheap, want a clean and convenient place to stay, and don’t mind a little shuttle ride, the All-Star Sports resort is the place to go. Why are you still reading this? Book it now!

Gets the job done!

The All Star hotels are perfect for families or groups of friends who want to save a little. All the disney amenities without the luxury or the prices that go with that luxury. If you want to have all the conveniences of staying on Disney property without it costing a fortune, All Star Sports (or music or movies) is the way to go. The only downside might be that the food court options aren't always the best (and it's ridiculously expensive), but I haven't experienced much different or better in any of the other resort food courts. Not to mention, you always have the option to visit other locations for food.

Shop for the basics for yourself! To avoid spending 2.50 on every croissant or bagel and 1.50 or more on every piece of fruit, buy that type of food before you get on property and store it in your room (same for cereal, water, or other snacks). Not sure if all rooms do, but many have a fridge.
