"Never Again"

I was not happy with the customer service from the time we first arrived at the hotel, everyone was rude, from the operator to the manager. I wanted to check out before I even checked in, but we had already paid for the trip/hotel. We did'nt have to deal with the staff much because we were out alot. The main reason I would never stay there again or recommend this hotel is because it has large cockroaches which we discovered the third day we were there walking across the TV while I was watching! I even discovered a small bug crawling on me after seeing the cockroach! The manager was informed and said oh well you're in florida, we have bugs!. Apparently thet don't exterminate. This hotel is not all it's pumped up to be.

Quick stay

While the hotel looks very nice upon first arrival we did have an unpleasant experience. Our room was not clean! The bathroom had hair on the floor, stains down the wall, and fingerprints all over the door. We complained when we arrived and were assured it would be cleaned for us. When we returned at 11 pm it was in the same condition. They did finally send someone to clean it but that was after our second complaint and 8 hours later. The hotel is showing some wear but the location is ideal, the price was right and these two were our main reasons for choosing it. Nonetheless a clean room should be a given!

Promised Water View; Got View Of AC Units

Booked a "water view" room with "views of tranquil lake or sunny pool deck." At check-in, clerk pressured me to take "upgrade" to another building, and asked, "Do you have a car?" I insisted on room and view I paid for. She disappeared, then returned to say I had a room with a view of fireworks. (Didn't want; don't like; wasn't planning on being in room; and what about other 23 1/2 hours a day when Disney "fireworks" five miles away are going?) Bathroom toilet area smelled sweaty, like someone who hadn't showered had used the bathroom and their stench remained. Shower water drizzled out. Shower/tub was small, toilet was small. Very disappointing experience.

Buena Vista not good

Very tired and under serviced hotel. Cigarette buts on balcony, coffee stain on bed sheets. Very difficult to open sliding balcony door with worn out latch. Service at pool was disappointing. Waited 40 min for a hot dog and overpaid to enjoy this with chips. No one was around the pool area to deal with ducks that kept coming back and swimming. Not healthy. The hot tub was very cloudy and not attractive at all. The line up to check into the hotel and out was more than 30 mins. Only one staff doing this. Walkways were in dire need of repaving. this hotel needs to be knocked down and a new one built. I stayed there 12 years ago and the same could be said then. Nothing has changed except for maybe new TV sets. I would definitely not return to this hotel.

one step above howard johnsons

Very disappointed. We were upsold to a room that could view the fireworks for $30 extra. Size of the room was about 12X12 with a 5X5 bathroom-tiny room and after making all our plans to center around watching the fireworks from our room 9-9:30, we got there and we were unable to see any fireworks. Had the room changed, to non-upgraded rooom-the room was twice the size, and bathroom was also twice the size-but they still messed it up in that we were given two "full size" beds when we asked for queens. And the view was better, where we probably could have seen fireworks! Housekeeping knocked at 7:15 AM ET waking us all up, just to see if we were still there so they could clean the room. No security at the pool at all, and the place is old. I cannot believe this was rated 4.5 stars by any of the internet travel sites. This hotel is one step from a youth hostel in my view.

Not Worth It

Extra $16.95 resort fee when you get there is a joke. Go somewhere without one. Checked in to our room at 11 pm Saturday night and by 8:30 am Sunday morning housekeeping was already knocking on our door to clean it! They attempted to key into the room, but luckily we had the deadbolt turned. Then they tried again at 9:30 when checkout is not til 11! There are plenty more hotels nearby that I would stay in over this one (and will next time!)

Not all that....

The parking was horrible and far from the hotel. There is valet if you wish to not suffer the walk. The location is great if you just want to be able to walk to Downtown Disney. The room was spacious with a nice view a lake. Not that clean of floors or bathroom. Remote did not work and the humidity was very high in the room. The floor and sheets had a dampness to it. Over all wasn't that bad but too pricey for what you get.

Definitely not 4 stars

Our room was located in a corner right next to 4 other rooms. Could hear doors slamming, crying children, and loud television sets. The room was nice, balcony with great view, bathroom shower not the cleanest. The worst part was that I pre-paid with this website a set amount for the room, and there was an additional $25/day on the bill upon check-in. This fee was indicated for internet and "other" services which we didn't even use. Yes, there is a free shuttle to the parks, but there are multiple stops which eats up a lot of time. I wouldn't go back.

Location and customer service great, everything else diabolical

Within walking distance to downtown disney and crossroads dining/shopping. Great customer service. Rooms, pool area absolutely filthy. Buses don't run to the advertised schedule. Additional resort fee is a rip-off. Parking is an issue (park in the Spa parking regardless of the signs not to).

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

If you don't have a car, you can still walk easily and safely to the Crossroads Dining area on Hotel Plaza Boulevard. Much cheaper and better quality than the hotel. Also, there's a Publix supermarket on Vineland Avenue (a 5 minute car ride) which is useful for stocking up on drinks/snacks in your room.
