good location BUT
First the pool was closed and you had to use shuttle to other end of the island to go swimming. very inconvenient and no prior notice. elevator kept breaking - not good if you are on 4th floor ice machine broken since pool was closed they were doing repairs that included jackhammers at 10 am or sanding off kool decking at 9 am less than 10 feet from room door.

Scolding Hot Water
The hotel was fine until I tried to have a shower. The shower only released scolding hot water. No cold water. No in-between water. Only hot, very hot water. After calling the front desk, they sent security to investigate. He too could not fix the problem or even identity what was wrong with it. When I confronted the manager when I was checking out, he informed me that no other guest had problems with the water and that, if I wanted a 50% refund, I would have to contact the third-party vendor. I will NEVER go back to this over-priced hotel in Key West or anywhere else in the world with the same brand name.

Flush this one
This is an old, "recently renovated" hotal in a great location midway down Duval St., with a Starbucks downstairs. The only areas that appeared renovated were the public spaces; the rooms were nothing special and the plumbing was horrendous; shower water pressure was slim to none and the toilet handle had to be held down for at least three minutes and even then was not a complete flush. The rooms were not well insulated from each other or the hall, so noise from guests and staff was an almost constant factor.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you love fresh fish, restaurants abound that prepare a variety of local catches well; the best Cuban food can be found at El Maison de Pepe near Mallory Square, complete with live Latin music and dancing, or at El Siboney, a small neighborhood restaurant where the locals hang.

Great location but wasn't impressed
The first room they gave us was a dirty handicap room. The walls were so paper thin in that room that we even had the "pleasure" to hear the drunk neighbors throw up. Next room was ok but our visit was short. Only slept 2 nights in each room. Location was great, but not sure we would stay there again. Staff was very nice.

Great Location but needs work
The location was the best. Right in the heart of the action. The rooms were on the small side and the windows could have used a good cleanning. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Good location, otherwise poor to fair.
Positive - right in the heart of Old Town on Duvall street. If you convenient access to the shops, restaurants and bars, this is a great central location. Negatives - 1) When we arrived they did not have the a room with two beds like we reserved. Instead we ended up with a bed and a couch. They really didn't offer much up for the inconvience. We got one nights free parking and two free drinks. $30 didn't seem like much of an offer to have to sleep on a small couch instead of a bed. 2) Seemed like it must have been high tide each time someone used the shower as the tub backed up quite a bit and took 20 minutes to drain once done. Kinda gross.

very nice pool area
i was please with my viste but i did not like the fact that i had to pay $19 a day for parking. i have stayed at other places in key west before and was never charged for parking. plus you go to some of the parking lots in key west they only charge $10 a day for parking. other then that it was a nice and clean hotel.

Crown Plaza, Key West
Overall ok, the Roof Top bar is great for sunsets and the balcony room was ideal for people and event watching. The pool area is very small and there are not enough lounge chairs to accomodate the guests. Their is a large area above the pool which is unused, this space can be utilized as a lounging area as it has access to the pool and would provide sun and shade.

A&B Lobster House was a great upscale dining experience with the harbor view. Caroline's and Fogarty's provide good food and people watching in a casual setting on Duval Street.

Birthday Getaway
We loved the location, but our rooms were really SMALL and you could hear the noise from room next door. We are planning to return to Key West but want to stay on water.
