Nice hotel, but NOISY
The hotel is very nice, updated, clean, modern, and the rooms are updated, clean, well furnished, & comfortable. The beds were firm, and the sheets soft. Didnt have a balcony though, which was disappointing, and the cable tv is a little annoying. Also, no mini fridge in the room for your own drinks, etc. The bathroom was nice, but no vent fan, so it was steamy from the shower for a while. Also the shower didnt drain well, called the front desk 2 times, and they sent someone fast but it didnt help much. The towels were nice however & the bathroom was nicely updated and clean. All the staff are courteous and professional. The hotel is on a great location on the beach, and has a nice medium sized pool. Nice complimentary lounge chairs & towels for the beach & pool, but $15/day for umbrella. Food & drinks are expensive. The mexican restaurant, Dos Caminos was nice, the bar was good. Didnt go to the other bar, The Wreck(?). They have a nice little cafe area for coffee, snacks, light sandwiches, and free internet. The wifi in the room is $9.95/day, which I thought was outrageously high and should have been free. I mean seriously, $300 a night for a room and you have to pay for wifi ? Sheesh. I was there 4/12 to 4/16, and there was a loud, annoying, disruptive music concert (Tortuga music festival) right on the beach next door. So it was loud all weekend. I didnt care for the music that much, and there were lots of drunk people stumbling around and overrunning the area. Neither The hotel, or O r b i t z, told us about it in advance, if i knew, i would have went elsewhere, or changed the dates. I just wanted a quiet, relaxing vacation on the beach, but it was only relatively quiet the last 2 days i was there, and there were still loud, annoying trucks making "beep ...beep...beep" backup noises a l l d a y . I guess the hotel area is quiet otherwise. I wont forget to check about "events" next time I go to another hotel in Ft. Lauderdale.

Day Trip
I was on a business trip and arrived early and was able to check in almost 4 hrs early. The room had a view of the ocean but was a little farther away that I expected being in the furthest tower but it was still worth it the next morning. The waitress at the pool said bar was excellent and the food was fantastic. The room it self wasnt impressive but good enough. Location of the Hotel is perfect for anyone that would like to be beach side

Staff and Location... Best and Best!
Didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did... wanted to stay at the Hilton, but the Sheraton had more reasonable prices and direct beach access. My sister and I went for a few day getaway and will be back for sure. Suggestion: if you want to be close to the beach, request to stay in the Beach Tower.

Overall Good Experience
We went on our honeymoon and they were so nice and upgraded our room to a beach view one. The staff was very very nice. Everything was good except the price. For more than $ 200 a night we expected everything to be included. But no, we had to pay for parking. They wanted us to pay for internet as well, but after an argument the staff waived that

Short business stay
I was welcomed by a very pleasant and engaging staff member at check-in. She upgraded my room with out even asking and made sure everything was to my satisfaction before I left the counter. The room was great, but overall the atmosphere felt a little tired. Access to the beaches and resturants were very good and overall a nice stay.

Good
Very comfortable and well located. FYI: valet or self parking for $10 per night, they charge you for the beach seats and towels per day and the Dos Caminos restaurant supposed to be known for its guacamole its an overrated dining or lunching option, you have many better options nearby. Overall it was good, would go back just for its location.

Winter get-away
My husband and I had a wonderful time, and we loved staying in the beach hotel. Having the view of the beach was the best! We loved the convenience of just a few steps to the pool and the beach, and the lounge chairs, cabanas and umbrellas were great. Kudos to the pool assistants for being so nice and helpful. Greatest margaritas from the Dos Caminos. We would recommend this hotel.

Ft. Lauderdale Sheraton
Coming from storm ravaged New Jersey shore, it was like an oasis!! Why did they ever change the name from the Yankee Clipper? The famous Wreck bar was closed for my stay, only open on weekends, otherwise it would have been perfect all around, I am sure!!
