Will never stay in this hotel again

This Hotel has a great location right on the beach. If you don't like a clean room and nice paint on the walls and the very run down look this is the place to stay. It by far was the worst place we have stayed in. We vacation alot and our spring vacation was not a very good experince as far as the hotel was. We Love the Ft lauderdale area but the was very bad.

very disappointed

Well the hotel staff was very rude and didnt know what hospitality means. The room looked like it was from the 1970's. The bathroom door wouldnt close, the air conditioner was broken and our room was cleaned once in three days. We had to go to the store down the road to get towels so we could shower. Atleast the location was good. We were across the street from the beach and very close to everything. Next time I will stay at one of the hotels on the same block.

What a Dump, I wouldn't let a dog sleep there.

The only half way decent area was the lobby, but once you left the lobby it was down hill quickly. The 1920 elevator didn't work, the balcony glass door in our room had the locks busted off, when I complained about this issue, they tried to assure me that I would be safe in the middle of Fort Lauderdale without locks on my door. They displaced us to another room which had the lock intact but was so warn out it would not lock and a sheet of plaster was laying on the pillow, looking up at the ceiling above the pillow we noticed a 3ft wide wet area where more plaster was about to fall...We were moved to another room where with the air conditioning running the room was at about 95 degrees...On the 4th and last room we finally had a sleepable room...only due to the fact that we were completely exhausted. Upon waking up in the morning we noticed dark red and brown stains on the rugs. None of the rooms had been remodeled it seemed since the 1960's.. And to stress the issue of security the fourth floor emergency door was held open by a rope and the stairs came off the street. BEWARE!!!

Wouln't reccomend anyone to stay here!

When you enter the hotel it seemed ok. The front desk said he was going to put us in a very nice room. We had to walk around the hotel outside and take 2 elevators to our floor. The hallways stunk and the carpets were gross and stained everywhere. There were broken down dressers in the hallway for what purpose I dont know. When we got in the room it was dirty. The mirrors that alligned the wall had mold growing from it and the ceiling was leaking water on the chair in the room. The Bathroom had brown water coming from both faucet and sink. I felt to dirty being there I didn't even shower. I slept in my clothes ontop of the sheets! To top it off the porch light didn't work and the doors didn't lock! Someone made a makeshift pin to poke through the door for a lock! How safe we felt when right outside was another broken down motel! In the morning we checked out and will never go back. The only posititve thing was the closeness to the beach! If you don't care about the dirty hotel its cheap and near the beach.... You decide.

My review of Sea Club Resort

Not very clean; first room was on 5th floor, but the elevator didn't work. moved to room on second floor which was OK, but there were no dressers. No business center in hotel. No shampoo, conditioner, etc in room. only small bars of soap.

Horror Hotel

When we saw the suite we realized we were in trouble. It was so run down and dirty that we didn't want to use the bathroom. It was late so we stayed the one night and checked out in the morning.

NEVER AGAIN

There was a girl on the phone who ignored us, the man was too busy chatting with the shopkeeper to pay attention but finally came over to check me in. Sunday morning as I was getting ready to go don for coffee the Security Guard unlocked and opened the door. He was told the guest had left early but should have heard the TV. He was VERY apologetic but it was the fault of the man who checked me in-not his. The restaurant was too casual and the food only warm. The parking arrangement is a mess. The drain in the bathtub was totally rusted (Room 212). I went to the desk to say I would be checking out and when I got back to the room to get my luggage my key did not work so I had to go down to get the guard to let me in. I do a lot of traveling alone and I no longer have any peace of mind by locking my door. I drove from Ft.Myers and it is certainly not convenient to I-75.
