Nightly entertainment, a lively tiki bar and residential amenities
Ocean Manor Beach Resort channels the best of the South Florida lifestyle, from the beachside tiki bar to the luxury penthouses with sweeping views of the skyline and Atlantic Ocean. Long before a multimillion dollar makeover, the hotel also hosted A-listers like Johnny Carson and Eric Clapton. The property keeps leisure at the forefront, entertaining guests with nightly entertainment and multiple lodging options equipped with kitchenettes, kitchens and terraces for soaking up the seaside vistas.
Highlights
- Fort Lauderdale hotel with outdoor pool and nightly entertainment
- Penthouses with spa baths, balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows
- Some rooms with kitchenettes and kitchens
- Tiki bar and sushi lounge
Rooms
Ocean Manor Beach Resort rooms treat guests to residential amenities like mini refrigerators, microwaves and views of the skyline or Atlantic Ocean via balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. An emphasis on heavy woods, from sleigh bed frames to hardwood floors, creates traditional style. Suites are tailored for families and big groups with the addition of kitchenettes, lounging and dining areas. For VIP luxury, reserve a penthouse suite, which lives like a mini mansion in the sky with high-end furniture, gourmet kitchens, spa baths and expansive terraces with dining tables.
Dining
The seaside setting plays a major influence on food at Ocean Manor Beach Resort, where guests choose from the laid-back Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar & Café or the lounge-restaurant hybrid, Tokyo Blue. Both serve a heavy dose of ambiance, with the former dishing out casual beach fare, tropical drinks and live entertainment nightly. Sushi bar, Tokyo Blue, brims with eye candy, from the 1,200-gallon aquarium to the illuminated LED glass columns.
Recreation
The outdoor pool turns into a daily--and nightly--party at Ocean Manor Beach Resort as sunbathers, families and the happy hour folks gather on the sundeck or at the tiki bar. When the itch for adventure kicks in, guests take advantage of close proximity to the water with sightseeing cruises, snorkeling and diving excursions.

Very Dissapointed
The lobby, Sushi restaurant and Tiki Bar were nice. They charged my credit card $110 at check in. More than the price you gave me. The door would not close and was coming apart. They charged $7 dollars to park and there was no attendant when I left the hotel at 5 am to go to my appointment. My truck was parked down the street. The furniture in the room was very old and the wood was peeling. The room and halls needed to be painted. The shower filled with water before the water even got hot. There was a safe without a locking mechanism. 1 towel in the bathroom. I would not stay here again if the room was free.

Horrible Experience
The Noise from club downstairs and the loud music from the room next door next made it nearing impossible to get any sleep until after 3:30am The room’s door knob and lock where broken and literally falling out, making leaving my valuables unsafe. The Room was incredibly dusty and dirty. The nightstand lamp had cobwebs and the light flickered There was a coffee maker but no coffee or set up. There was No Bellman, we had to bring our luggage on a cart to room by ourselves by freight elevator. The Ice machine, in basement, was dirty and the floor was wet and slippery. The bathtub was chipped and peeling. The walls in the room and bathroom were broken, chiped, stained, rusty, moldy and just disgusting There were No hangers in closet The Toilet made a horrible loud noise when flushed The Air conditioner was extremely noisy The Beds are old, noisy and very lumpy There were No towels for pool or beach The TV remote didn’t work There was an electrical power strip and electrical extensions exposed, tangled and directly under the coffee maker and refrigerator, this was so dangerousThere was a dirty Ironing board but no iron The luggage rack was broken and rusty There were no hangers in the closet, and the door was missing. There is Nothing “Resort” about this establishment. The idea that they charge a $10 resort fee is insulting. I honestly have stayed at Motel 6’s that are cleaner, better well kept, quieter, and more comfortable for 1/3 the price than this “Resort”

location, location, location!
I was very nervous the day before we left on this vacation as i was reading the other reviews and seeing how people were having such a bad time. We did not experience any of that!! The staff was SO nice and helpful. Check in was extremely fast and easy and they actually gave us 2 rooms to look at and we could pick whichever one we wanted. We, or course, went for the oceanview room which was amazing! the room itself needs some updating and it wasn't the cleanest room ever, but we overlooked that as everything else was so nice. we easily got fresh towels near the pool every day, and were always provided shower towels and toilet paper whenever we wanted. they cleaning staff was constantly coming around asking if we needed any towels or anything else. The food at the Sushi restaurant was amazing! our waitor was so nice. and the tiki bar is the place to be! the worst part was that we had to leave our tropical paradise!

not what the website portrays...
I'm trying to find one nice thing to say about Ocean Manor, and all I can come up with is the view was beautiful. There was one very nice receptionist downstairs, but really, that's it. I checked in around 12am, after a long flight, and found no one at the check in counter. No one for about 10 mins. When I booked this hotel, the deal was for a room with a king size bed or 2 full size beds, and what I got was a room with one full size bed. The hotel has not been renovated. The doorway to my room was physically coming off at the doorframe. The bathroom was very old and moldy. I had to wear my flipflops in the shower so that I could make it through the experience. The air conditioning vents were so full of dust and filth that I did not use it. The ice vending machine is found by using the service elevator and entering the basement, a maze of weird twists and turns, and the ice is yours. You wouldn't know where to find it though, again no one was at the reception counter, I found out by asking another patron of the hotel. A very unhappy experience. Yuck.

Could be good someday
This is a great location. The hotel is under renavation. I can see that this hotel is old an needs lots of work. However, with the size and the age of the hotel it will take awhile before it is done to modern work. The room I was in needs much work. The room was old and could use much work. Not sure what the owners are willing to do for expenses in order to get to modern terms. But maybe through much work and money invested this could be a wonderful place.

It's OK.......
Not a bad hotel, be ready to add to your bill $ 10/day for beach use and $ 7/day for valet parking (these 2 you must pay). Chairs $10/day at the beach. You cannot take towels to the beach, they're $5 each. No food or drinks of your own at beach or pool area, you have to buy them at their bar (beers $5-8 each). Breakfast for 3, around $55. Pool closes early 8PM. No WiFi in rooms ONLY in Lobby, not in the pool either. Staff is not friendly, do not try to make you feel "wanted" at the Hotel. Otherwise it's just one of those Hotels you'll soon forget.

Doesn't good service exist anymore?
Upon arrival to this hotel front desk staff were more concern, with taking our money than making us feel welcome. The room was in poor condition. I was greeted by a bed with dirty shams, one of them with lipstick. The floor where we stayed, was noisy. The room did not have an alarm clock,so we asked for a wake up call. They forgot. If you select this hotel based on the nice location, you are going to be deeply desapointed. The outside is nice, the inside is another story.
