Lafayette Motel

checking in was a breeze, no problems. opening the door seemed like any other 2 star hotel. the bathroom was good, the separate sink room needed some attention. but they had another sink in with the bathtub and that one was clean and good. one thing is the floor could use a sweeping as my feet got dirty and could feel the sand from the beach. overall was happy as the price compared to other hotels was quite reasonable. this hotel is nothing fancy if thats what you want go across the street and pay double to triple. its a good place to sleep in. when \i travel i don't stay in rooms other than to sleep.

My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay since we realized the miles were far too long from vacation, and needed a place to sleep. We called a week before to reserve a room. Advice: ***Call if you need a non-smoking room after your book a reservation. Just to make sure. Motels are very first come first serve. *** Call if you are going to be late. In that way you avoid your reservation being cancelled. They were very happy we did this. ***kudos for the little kitchen included! Overall we had a great time! For spending one night, not bad.

The room was clean, but was in need of maintenance. It is an older hotel, but the value and location were excellent. 1 block from the beach. There was a kitchenette in the room, which I did not use.

Hotel was old, but very clean for what you would expect of a 2 star. Beach is a block away which is awesome, and other stores/restaurants are a bit further - but only about a 15-20 min walk. It's not fair to compare the Lafayette to other 4+ star hotels that in the same area, it's very nice for the price. And the staff is very helpful with any extra needs you may need. I would def stay there again :)

i have stayed at this hotel with one of my girlfriends and our kids, we booked it because it was close to the beach, however, the motel is run down by drug dealers and escorts, or lets say street walkers. i wouldnt even stay at this hotel if i was single looking for a bed. rather sleep on the beach its at least patrolled by the police. Staff was did not meet my needs and couldnt sleep all night because i was itching so hard. we ended up leaving and checking in another hotel. Im not sure why anyone would write a good review about this place, must be the employees or the owners friends and such.STAY AWAY!

It was great. Very clean and staff great. Did miss having coffee and food. But they had pop machine, I got my coke. I would stay there again. They gave us a larger room so thanks to the staff and friendly housecleaning.

This was suppose to be an Ocean front room, IT WAS NOT. I shoud get my money back. If I don't I won't go through your co. again, period. I have worked so hard and was looking so forward to being on the ocean. I had to walk through traffic to get to the ocean.

Pluses, Glad they have tile floors instead of carpet (no sand build up) Bedding looked new and short walk to beach, Staff friendly and helpful. Negatives, needs mechanical maintenance, no restaurants or stores close. Good for the price, would go back.

Hotel is on the mainland side of A1A, if you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel that is clean and comfortable then this is a great place to stay. The desk/cleaning staff were great. Our room, while old was clean and comfortable. I was there to take in the beaches and the outdoors, not to stay in my hotel. This was a perfect place to crash and is a great location, walk across the street to the beach.
