The majesty of marina living, from yacht dining to a lagoon-style pool

Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina guests love being surrounded by water at this Intracoastal Waterway front hotel, boasting views of neighboring 33-slip marina. The property captures contemporary style, favoring mod furniture, a well-edited collection of art and an Asian small plates restaurant fit for a romantic rendezvous. For added allure, guests can have private meals on their yacht or enjoy Evian spritzing by the pool to cool down.

Highlights
  • Contemporary rooms with views of the Intracoastal Waterway and marina
  • Asian small plates restaurant and outdoor bar
  • 33-slip marina
  • Elements deck and pool with poolside ambassadors
  • 24-hour fitness center with Life Fitness equipment
Rooms

Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina rooms capture contemporary sophistication with sleek furniture and a neutral palette. Floor-to-ceiling windows and furnished balconies exploit the hotel's best asset: views of the marina, 17th Street Causeway, Port Everglades or Intracoastal Waterway. Stylish design elements reign, including mosaic-tiled bathrooms and plush bedding and tech comforts like iHome stations and high-speed Internet access.

Dining

Where guests choose to dine, the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina accentuates the ambiance. The G pours on the South Florida romance, thanks to a position next to the 33-slip marina, the perfect spot to grab tropical cocktails, sliders and seared Ahi tuna salad. China Grill Fort Lauderdale oozes sex appeal, dishing up Asian small plates under enormous wood beams, track lighting and the stars--the restaurant also boasts a patio for admiring the Intracoastal Waterway.

For on-the-go bites, hit Antea, which serves specialty coffees, teas and baked goods for breakfast and salads and sandwiches during lunch. When private dining is in order, the hotel can cater meals on yachts or in rooms.

Recreation

A 24-hour fitness center houses Life Fitness treadmills and weight machines, while a heated outdoor pool stuns with a free-form shape and gorgeous palm tree landscaping. Poolside ambassadors are at the ready when guests feel the need for a spritz of Evian water or a eucalyptus towel. The G restaurant can also concoct that perfect poolside cocktail.

I'll come back!

Just beautiful, from the garden to the pool and views. The only area of improvement I could suggest is the food, pricey and limited. I asked concierge desk if there was resturants close around and was told everything was a taxi ride away, but when we took a cab to the airport in the morning we saw like 10 nice resturants about 1/2 to 1 mile away. So we will absolutly be back, I love this hotel!

Nice hotel, okay location

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel during our weekend trip to Ft. Lauderdale. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed walking around the nearby marina, but the location caters more to people travelling in their own boats. If you, like us, fly in planning to spend a lot of time at the beach, this hotel might not be the best choice for you. There is a complimentary beach shuttle, but it runs just once every 2 hours from 11 AM to 5 PM (see hint below). Contrary to information we read elsewhere beforehand, there is no complementary airport shuttle for this hotel, although there are shared vans available sometimes that are a little cheaper than a taxi. That said, one-way cab fare between this hotel and the airport or the beach will be under $20, including tip. Dining options in the hotel are quite good, and not unusually pricey for the most part. The attached Nanking Asian Grill has very good sushi and cocktails. The "G" poolside bar and grill is a great place to grab lunch. Be warned that the all-you-can-eat breakfast at Waterway costs $22 per person, which isn't advertised until the check comes. It wasn't worth it, in our opinion. Ask the concierge about other nearby restaurants--there are several great options in shopping plazas a short walk away.

Time-saving tip: In Hotel

The complimentary shuttle to the beach departs from the Hilton at 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM each day. Make sure the door attendants know you're waiting, as they must call for the shuttle. The shuttle goes to the Bahia Mar hotel, which is right across from the beach. It picks up passengers at the Bahia Mar to return to the Hilton at 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:30 PM, and 5:30 PM.

Disgraceful

Very angry and ashamed at the behaviour of this hotel. I booked Hilton Marina as it is walking distance to my Cruise ship which my girlfriend was joining as a passenger, knowing she had little money for a taxi in the morning. Her flight was very late arriving, after 11pm. She arrived at the hotel to find her Hotel room which had the reservation confirmed had been given away to another customer. After having the reservation already confirmed this can not be a clerical error. A driver of the shuttle booked also mentioned to her that this is a common occurrence. The hotel put her up in another hotel further a field, but this is not the point, as I booked the Hilton Marina for a reason. She was told that the money would be refunded for the stay so I will be seeking a full refund, not happy at all. To a paying customer, I don't understand how a hotel can get away with giving away a hotel room which has already been paid for and confirmed?? Disgraceful

Great vacation!

Relaxing stay with the amenities we needed...good pool area, tiki bar, not too big of a hotel...or didn't feel that way. Even tho it could use some updating (bathroom small and a little 'worn', it was an overall great place! Staff was awesome!

Just down the street was a Mexican Cantina (in a plaza across street and towards A-1-A about 4-5 minute walk from hotel) BEST frozen Margaritas & chips & salsa! On same side of street in another plaza about 3 minute walk was place called Bimini--you can sit on the wharf..chowder was GREAT!

One of the best

This hotel was very clean and I had a beautiful view of the Marina. I was on the 12th floor. Staff was awesome and very knowledgeable of all the surrounding areas. Edras one of the bell hops was my go to person. He was great and always smiling with answers to all my questions. What a great experience. Thanks.

The hotel dining is pricey. Many dining areas on 17th street. When you leave the Hotel just make a right. Also you must take the water taxi for the tour of Fort Lauderdale.

great stay

We stayed one night at this hotel in order to ensure we would be able to board our cruise on time. It fit the bill. Close to the port and great service. We would use it again if we had the same need.

Winter Get away

My family and I decided to make an imptomtu get away in January to South Florida. The Hilton on SE 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale turned out to be a the perfect spot to stay. the location was ideal. close to the beach, yet easy to access the highways. The views from the tower were spectacular.

The Floridian dinner on Las Olas Blvd. is a local secret place to eat. The food is excellant and the prices are resonable.
