We had a wonderful weekend. Nice, clean rooms and friendly staff. Good breakfast each morning. Had a car, easy to get to port for cruise and to the airport. Would stay here again eventho the neighborhood is scketchy at night. You can't get into the hotel or grounds without a pass keycard.

Great location!
My husband and I needed a winter blue's get away so we booked a five day four night trip to Fort Lauderdale and we stayed at the Hampton Inn on Andrews Avenue. We would definately return there. The location was fabulous, we could walk to Las olas Blvd. with all the great shops and restaurants. There was NO charge for parking which was an added bonus. The delicious, free breakfasts were a great way to start our day. Would recomend to friends that wanted a great central location. Also, the rooms were clean but I would have liked larger bars of soap for the bath.

The Greek Islands Restaurant has the most savory oferings in a pleasant taverna like restaurant. The lamb chops were extraordinary as was the fresh Greek salad. A definite must if you are in the area. Get there early to avoid the lines!

Good except for the area
Overall our stay at this hotel was very good. The only downside is the area that it is in. I would warn anyone who stays at this hotel to not leave and wander around the hotel at night. There are a lot of shady people who mingle around the City Hall building a block down the road. This made finding things to eat around the hotel difficult and we mostly ate take out. Also, while they don't offer any kind of airport shuttle, they will set you up with a company that does shuttle and it costs only $20. This is a lot cheaper than you would pay using a taxi especially during rush hour.

Perfect value
We stayed at this hotel as a leisure getaway for one night and it was the perfect place for the price. Clean, comfy and no fuss!

I recommend it, will stay here again
Free Parking, Free WIFI and Free Breakfast... a plus in my book. We stayed for a weekend, clean rooms, no complaints at all. We are staying here next time we visit Ft Lauderdale.

Long walk from hotel
If you like to walk, it is about 5 or 6 blks. to the river walk which is very nice and interesting. You can look at all the yachts in the river and drool! Free tram outside hotel to go in and around town.

The Greatest
I loved the hotel. The rooms were beautiful My grandson's loved the pool and everything was within walking distance. We went on a cruise and we stayed there the day before and the day after. If I am in the Florida area again I would stay no where else. I give it a 100.
