Great place if you are going on a cruise!
We loved this hotel! It's less than 5-10 minutes from both the Port Everglades and the FLL airport. They offer free shuttle to the airport and the port is a minimum charge taxi ride. For us $10. The pool is nice. Hertz rental car is located in the parking garage so if you are renting a car at the airport, set it up to return it here and Hertz will take you to the Port.

If you are going to or from the Port Everglades, don't do a shuttle, because it's so close the taxi ride was only $10 total.

location
Very good for airport or cruiseport the next day. No restaurants or stores anywhere close. The hotel restaurant was quite good. Rely on their specials as they were very good.

In Hotel
Use the shuttle service to the cruiseport provided at hotel. Also book the return trip to the airport at the same time as the cruisport transfer. Far cheaper than cruiseline and very convenient when you return from cruise.

Great location
It was close to both the airport and cruise port so cab fare was kept to a minimum. We ended up in a handicap room with two queen beds. It was so large there was room for four queen beds!

Poor value for that price
Windows didn't open! We have to be under cold air from AC all the time (especially night time). Got sick because of it on 2nd day. AC was old and noisy and blowed high humidity air... Ok food in restaurant. Good parking for small fee. Hotel is ok to stay on 1 night. Wouldn't recommend for longer time.

A good choice if you're going on a cruise
The location was perfect, less than a half mile from the port entrance but not where I would stay if visiting Ft. Lauderdale for any other reason.

Late night travel
Arrived Late, but it was Great
We arrived at 1 in the morning and was very pleased, staff was wonderful from the time we walked through the front door to the time we left. I would rate this hotel a 4 and not a 3. Van took us to the airport which was nice. Very clean room and modern. Definately would stay again without hesitation.

convenent to cruise
We stayed there the night before a cruise. It was very close to the port. However, very high priced on parking and overpacked with guests. With that many guests, we chose at the last minute to go with park n go. It was convenient and safe instead of dealing with the hotel craziness. If you pay ahead of time online, it is half price of the hotel and no fee for shuttle.

Vacation end
Great Place!!
We just got back from vacationing in the Keys and stayed at the Crowne Plaza because it was close to the airport. So glad we did, wonderful staff, beautiful room and very clean! Wish we had this place in the keys!

Crowne plaza hotel in fort lauderdale,
Well, to begin, we arrived at 20:00 on Monday night. Their was storms in ft lauderdale. So, about 21:15 the power in the hotel went out. I later phoned the reception at 23:00, told the person on the phone that the tv in our room did not work. She told me to wait a few more minutes, because the directv receiver needs to reset itself. So, obviously the power came back on round about 22:40. After I spoke to the person on the phone at reception that Monday night, I went to bed. Thinking that in the morning the tv will work. But I woke up on Tuesday morning, with no tv working. So I phoned again down to reception. With the reply that they will send someone to our room. So when we past the reception desk in the morning I asked them again to please send someone up to our room to fix the tv. We came back at 16:00 pm and tv was still not fix. So we phoned reception again. O, and then we also had no Internet since Monday night. Internet was fixed Tuesday late afternoon. And when we booked the room online, you think everything works. But the pool was taped up. We could not even use the pool.
