Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hot

rooms have recently been redone, smelled like new carpet fumes (good thing I guess, but our windows didnt open). Its a very clean, good location, with bar/resturant and walkable to many things including the beach (they have a walking bridge to the beach). No complaints, great stay.

I liked this place a lot i traveled with 2 of my friends the beach is right there you are right there with plenty of stuff lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance the staff where very friendly

For openers, self parking is $21. Valet parking $40, + tip. There is a relatively recent tower, and an old renovated strip motel that gives views of the marina and about a 30 degree view of the ocean across the street from the 3rd (top) floor. Vending machines rip off customer's money, but release no product. Room, clean, though old looking. Bed, good. Bed linens and pillows smelled fresh and clean. No bugs. Good shower head. Restaurant is a bar/grille kind of thing named Breezes. Too small for the hotel, but, recommend eat elsewhere. Food is high priced, poor value. I made beginners mistake of ordering a lobster, cheeze, and macaroni dish. I don't know where they got the lobster, how long they had it, or what they did to it, but, I picked it out and ate the mac and cheese. That is hard to mess up. The bill adds 18% in for gratuity, and then provides a line for the customer to write in a tip on the total which already includes the gratuity. This rips off double tip from customers who only look at the bottom line and write in a tip as % of the bottom line. The wait staff and front desk and parking attendants were fine, but, overall, I had the feeling of rip-off at every turn. Oh, and don't be fooled about getting maple syrup on your morning pancakes or french toast. It's corn syrup, thick as molasses. Waiter said they have no maple syrup. Overall, an OK place for a night, but, I won't return here. Fort Lauderdale has better.

Great place to relax and getaway but the hotel staff was very rude and sarcastic! Only a couple nice people on staff that I met. Also room was modern but bathroom was old and looked dirty but wasn't! Overall great vacation and location!

HOTEL IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF GREAT RESTAURANTS AND ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE BEACH WITH IT'S OWN PRIVATE CROSSWALK.

This was just ok . Was expecting a better room for the money. Air conditioner didn't seem to work very well. Staff was nice tho

Friendly staff. Located right across the street from the beach. And down the street from plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Great night life.

I had the best experience with Bahia Mar Hotel. The are the most helpful and friendliest people. Definitely would come back.

Had a great stay the day before a recent cruise. The Hotel was excellent and served our needs well.

I find this place to be a perfect location for where you want to be. The view is amazing from all sides!! Watertaxi is right there, local spots, and bike rentals, snorkeling, fishing trips outside the door.
