BEST WESTERN PLUS Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port

We chose this hotel cause it has a 24 hour shuttle to the airport. Checkin was easy, the young lady was friendly. However, she was the ONLY one there - and later, when I called for a wake-up call, no one was at the desk for about 20 minutes (she was replacing a light bulb). Also - we did have a palmetto bug in the bathroom. The beds are very very comfy, and it is next to a nice little strip mall with lots of food choices. An added surprise was that some of the breakfast was out early - so we could eat something at 5:00 AM.

Just dropped in to get a few hours sleep before early morning departure. Found motel very clean and quiet, close to airport, and staff very pleasant. Would have liked to have had time for dip in pool Will stay again.

This hotel is good for a one night layover. The rooms were clean except for a slight musty smell; likely from the carpeting. There is a fan in the bathroom; unlike a hotel I stayed in on my trip--so it shouldn't be a problem. Someone next door kept slamming their room door repeatedly (kids?# and management put a stop to it pretty quickly. There is one public use computer which could make it hard if a boarding pass needed to be printed off in a rush. The shuttle goes every hour--I was told from 4 a.m. on--despite what the website says #that it's 24 hours). The pool area is small but nice, with a few shaded areas. There is no restaurant but there is a McDonalds next door, other restaurants nearby, they said and they offer to drive you within a 3 mile radius. There is a strip mall next door past McD's with a Dollar Tree, so if you forget incidentals, that's good. The staff was helpful.

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the airport and we had an early flight. The hotel offers an airport shuttle. It is within walking distance of a couple of restaurants, a grocery store and a liquor store. The room was very clean and comfortable. It would be a good place to stay before a cruise as well.

Only spent one night here, but it was great. We weren't looking for anything but a clean room and found it to be better than that. We had an early flight and appreciated breakfast and coffee before we left. Would stay here again. Appreciated the airport shuttle which was right on time.

Our experience at the Best Western was good. We had requested an early check in because one of our party was ill. I called in the morning prior to leaving the ship and they said I had to be at the hotel before they would put us on the list. That was the only negative thing. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels for our party. Will most definitely use this hotel again when in Ft. Lauderdale.

Was picked up on time, but the shuttle bus driver went to two other hotels, then back to our hotel, then back to the other hotels again. Everyone on the shuttle bus was very upset, since the cruise port is only a 5 minute drive from this Best Western. The shuttle driver was under orders from his supervisor to fill the shuttle up before making the drive to port. He felt bad, and finally gave in and took the 20 people on board to the ships!!! There were only 4 vacant seats!!!

We had a GREAT experience at this hotel! It was a nice clean comfortable hotel and an excellent value for the price. We were on our way to mission trip to Haiti and were waiting for the rest of the team to reach Florida. We had lots of luggage filled with items for the people of Haiti but we wanted to go to the beach while we waited. Shaun the day manager was very helpful and gave us a place to store all our luggage after we needed to be out of the room and helped us find transportation to the beach. we also spent some time in their pool which was heated (perfect for the Dec weather) and quite clean. They also willingly took us and all our luggage back to the airport to meet the rest of the team. We would highly recommended this hotel!

Good, clean, children friendly, good location, walk distance to dinning and shopping, very close to airport

Since this hotel has a free airport shuttle and breakfast included, the price was well worth it. I had stayed at another cheaper hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, but spent more on the taxi and breakfast.
