Americas Best Inns-Ft Lauderdale North

Thank you to the girls who were nice to my brother while being stranded for a bit. They were kind and patience with me while trying to get them my payment info.

Many Thanks to the ladies who were kind and patient with me getting my brother a room. Also they were kind to my brother who is stranded there for a few days;o)

The staff were friendly, the room was clean. I liked that it had a fridge/microwave. Hotel cost did not meet the standard of the hotel.

Average hotel. you get what you pay for. Nothing special.

This is definitely a basic motel. Luckily, it is pretty well maintained but don't expect any frills or luxuries (not even shampoo!). I enjoyed the pool and its adjoining gay bar/tavern which provided some nourishment and alcoholic beverages. For the price I paid, I felt it was a decent deal; and would stay here again. Wouldn't advise staying here if you get a high rate. There are fancier digs elsewhere.

Let me start off by saying this was my first experience with Americas Best and most likely the last!When we first pulled in we thought how quaint and cool a pool and a bar right on location. This was great because we just wanted to hang out at the hotel most of the time and visit the beach later.The room was dingy, towels where like sand paper, it was too much for housekeeping to give us more towels when ours got used and we didn't get the towels we asked for.As the evening progressed, we started to see some not so safe activities in the parking lot and around the stairs where OUR room was located.We made our way to have an evening at the bar, in which was filled with ALL MEN....and found it odd that they were so close in each other's faces and quite chummy. We decided not to go in, I felt uncomfortable if we entered.The next day consisted of the parking lot getting crowded, there was even a security guard directing traffic. The bar and pool area was overly crowded, there was no way we would have been able to venture into.[*] this was are first "GETAWAY" and it sucked!!!! We could not enjoy any of the amenities of the hotel, let alone any guest services. It would have been nice if someone would have notified us of this event before booking and or check in. I know any events are advertised to guests if for some reason it is a large event and or an odd one. They hung flags from the bar, placed signs at the entrance, all after we had checked in.We were so disappointed and really didn't feel to safe from....ALL THE DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES GOING ON....I believe if the police had pulled in, you would have seen a lot of guests scatter.NOT IMPRESSED WITH OUR STAY!Deepest Regards.

This place is old. The bathroom door would get stuck and get trapped in bathroom. Roaches everywhere. i walked on the carpet in white socks from the bed to the TV and socks turned black. i walked 8 feet.

The man, when we checked in, was nice, but the lady in the morning was nonhelpful. The toilet clogged in our bathroom after one use. We asked for a plunger and she didn't have one available. She said we would have to wait until the maids got there. Good thing this happened in the morning. She didn't offer up any solution until the maid came, I had to ask. She gave me a key for another room to use the bathroom and the light did not turn on. The girl seemed very unwilling to help. Kinda like the girl filing here nail syndrome. The breakfast was cheaper than the usually cheap. Little Debbies. A lot of things just did not seemed to work. They just need to fix some things and it would be real decent. The pool looked nice, there was a neat looking bar but it was closed down for whatever reason. I would look elsewhere if you can for the same cheap price or pay a little more. Cheers.

THE WORST ROOM EVER 45 YEARS OF TRAVELLING no tp holder no stopper in th sink microscopic pillows no ashtrays no telephone connection no door jam operating smelled of bug spray for 89 dollars [...]ripped me off reccommending this hell hole do the right thing and give me a complete refund now!!

There isn't anything special about this hotel. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for". It seems a little older and the rooms are practically bare. There was no coffee machine or hair dryer to be found. Again, for us, it was just a place to sleep.
