Ocean Shore Resort

Our family's overall experience was ok,it could have been better, I think the staff could be more friendly when it comes to needing more towels for the room..The location was perfect, not to close and not to far for the shopping centers and restaurants. I would say they need to improve the continental breakfast, there was no variety.

the door of the rooms were the worst ,you could not use your card key to get the room. The free meal in the morning was like road kill,the hotel is in a great location but the up keep was not up to standard.

Had a great time at the beach, wish the hotel was cleaner and more enjoyable. They need to spend more money on the rooms and not the lobby!!

Bring your own air spray. building smells! it,s time to knock down and start over. parking?-there is none. the beds- ha ha -count the springs or just count the bruising on your body from them! if looking for cheap this is just the puppy for you! if you get bored feel free to feed the birds---that are busy [*] all over yor patio.

7/02/10 Be sure if you book this hotel to request ocean front not ocean view . Ocean view is a view of the parking lot unless you stand in the very corner of the room by the slider not worth the upgrade. The slider was so rusted we couldn't open it. Be sure to wear shoes floors are disgusting beds are so worn out they look like there from the 70s Breakfast is a joke.I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

At check in I had to wait over 5 minutes in an empty lobby. When the evening front desk staff finally did make an appearance, he was followed by his girlfriend in her wet bikini. Our room did not have the refrigerator the hotel said it would have, nor did it have a table or desk or chair. The next morning we went down to the continental breakfast, and the juice machine was "out of order" there was no coffee, the cereal dispensers were empty. There were bagels or toast but only butter for them, no jam, no cream cheese. There was no one staffing or maintaining the room. So we ended up going out to a McDonald's. On the numerous times we walked through the main lobby, only one time was it staffed, all other times we had to look for a staff person. When you did locate them, they usually had friends with them, who were not employees of the hotel. In the 4 days we were there, we never saw a cleaning person. Even though I requested our room be cleaned it never was. I had to go down each morning for fresh towels. When asked to speak to the owner or manager, I was told, the owner rarely puts in an appearance, and the manager occassionally shows up. It is very obvious this hotel has been left to run itself. I would not suggest this hotel to my worse enemy.

To start the kiddy pool was in NO SHAPE OR FORM ready for any children. When I checked in the front desk did not even ask for any form of ID! There were guest their that had ducked tape signs to the walls. The so called breakfast DO NOT DRINK THE MILK!!!!!!! Went to the store bought some ice cream did not even have spoons to give to the customer. Asked the front desk and the comment they gave was you can not make an Indian owner understand that is something they need to have in the store.
