Great for the Price

My experience was perfect. This is not a 5-star hotel, but for the price I paid for the Daytona Race weekend and the location, 6 miles fromthe track I have no complaints. The room was clean, and the front desk employees were very friendly and extremely helpful. I would definately stay there again.

Best view on the Beach

Had a free upgrade to studio style room. The space was very large and we had the best view you can ask for, 8th floor. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Only downfall would be the carpet. Where socks, pretty old.

You get what you pay for

The room was clean and big with a kitchen. Doors had some issues but nothing major. If your looking for a basic hotel this is it. Far from the boardwalk on foot. Staff could have been more helpful. Nice pool area

Bike Week

Hotel is in a good location, it has many stores and a supermarket across the street from it. The view from either side of the room is great. However, the door to the room was horrendous. It looked like it had been recycled from some other building and it did not close properly. The door to the balcony was worse and you would have to pull really hard on it to get it to close. The rug looks like it was the original one when the hotel oppened. In other words the room is very depressing, luckily we did not spend much time in the room.

Correct

Our room was oceanview efficiency with a kitchenette, everything was functional, we would appreciate a toaster, don't count on the cofee supply; i'ts just enough to make an half cup!! The beds got a little rebound but even comfortable. The hotel location is good, near a liquor store, pharmacy, groceries, restaurant. The outside and inside pool are not heating. The two outside spa are not functional, the inside one is very small. There's a beach volleyball playground but full of seaweed. All things considered, we enjoy being to LaPlaya, the price vs. quality is correct.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Use the bus service for transport. It cost 12 dollars for a week pass and got a large network. Be careful with the schedule during special event (ex: Nascar) night time or week-end.

Great Location

The room was ok. I didn't really like the beds. They reminded me of a nursing home. They could really use a upgrade. Other than that, the hotel was nice. Especially the indoor pool.

Horrible experience, BAD service

Me and 3 other friends had our worst experience at this hotel and we highly recommend to everybody to not stay at this hotel. Our first night we had to switch rooms because the A/C broke, so they move our rooms and then the next day a family comes into our room because the people at the front desk didnt switch our rooms on the computer so we were rudely intruded on. This hotel charged us $20 for parking which is rediculous and 2 of the nights we couldnt even find a spot at the hotel because they had some comedy club going on. Our room had a kitchenette but had no pans to cook with so we had to call twice for a pan and no one ever brought it up so we had to go out to eat every night so that was a waste. One of my friends left her heels in the first room we were in so the next day we go back to get them and they were gone and houskeeping said they never saw them when they specifically were left in the other room. We asked to speak to a manager and the 2 workers at the front desk kept ignoring us and avoiding contacting the manager. overall this was my worst experience with a hotel and it deffinately put a damper on our trip. And worst of all after all the hassle we went through you figure they could at least give us some kind of discount for the trouble but all we get from the lady is a apology. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. They need to be trained

Sping Break 2011

When we checked in, we were unaware of the charge for being under 26 years old that we each had to pay. We rented a room that was supposed to be an ocean view room, but were put on the side of the building and our view was part of the ocean, but mostly looking at the city. The rooms are a little outdated, but we booked so far in advance that it was decent for the price.

If you are on a trip to go a lot of things outside of hotel, then you should have a car with you. Cabs were pricey.
