GREAT HOTEL!

We went to this hotel not expecting much because of the price. Wow! They put us in an beautiful oceanfront room which was very spacious overlooking the beach. The pools are gorgeous and our 2 year old loved the kiddie pool. Staff is awesome and super friendly. Whatever you need, they will provide.

Nice Family getaway

The hotel could use some repairs the owners have a nice place and it would be well worth it for them to make the repairs. But even if they don't make them I will stay at this motel again it has a really good staff. I would really like to see the bed pillows be upgraded to a better kind it takes 2 to make one

Old Hotel-nice staff

The hotel is older and in major need of repair. One building is not even in use. The hotel staff is super! The handyman was extra nice and so was housekeeping. If it were not for them we would have left immediately. It is okay for a short stay.

Priced for the value

The staff was very friendly at the reception. We receive our room clean as it can be in such an old hotel. Old carpets and equipment everywhere. Parking lot around the building. Enough spots in it. We have a door to bathroom very hard to close and conditioner working all day long with getting 70 only at night. Our friends need to change their room due to smell in it. Their new room was not much better then previous or than ours. We saw few small cockroaches under the coffe maker and under the phone. Pool is good and clean. There is a lot of space around it. But it is rarely needed if you have a beautiful beach and ocean. Kids spent most of the day on the beach and were very happy. The location is good as well: there is big plaza with Publix if you want some food inside. Half a year we were here in another hotel priced twice than current and get better amenities and cleaner room. But the hotel looked as old as in our current trip. So I think for the money this hotel is not that bad.

Not what I thought it was

Bermuda House is one step up from a motel, and I apologize for all motels out there but at least you know what you are getting. Some of the pictures on the website did not represent reality. This is a great spot if you are on a STRICT budget, want a no frills or thrills spot (say college kids or others on a real fixed income). I paid extra for an ocean view and was given a room that faced a vacant lot that truckers had used as their stop over, sleep over spot, but if I walked out and looked to the right, I could see the ocean. I think there is some bias against single visitors to this place but I made the best of it. Carry bug spray, sunblock and roach spray if you go. One good thing- cleaning staff were nice, all others, not so much.

Bugs+Roaches+Ants= Nasty

This hotel needs a lot of work. Roaches in the hallways, ants in the rooms, and some sort of nasty little bugs in the breakfast room. The bathroom in the room was nasty, something was at the bottom of the tub and the water would not turn all the way off. The balcony and room doors were very hard to open and close. I thought I was getting a good deal on the room, and I am usually not that hard to please, but I will not be staying here again.

OK for the price

For $65 a night it was OK. It's an aging hotel that probably saw it's prime 20 years ago. Pool area could of been kept up better. If you're used to going to the Hilton, this place isn't for you.
