Daytona Beach Oceanside Inn

The pictures online do not match what you get. Front desk help was not very helpful. Only thing we liked was the pool and the location. Would not stay there again unless the place is updated.

A great value for the money. The room was clean, pool immaculate, and staff very pleasant. Nice weekend getaway for the family and the unlimited free dvd rentals a plus.

We were only going to be in the area for a couple of days so just wanted a nice place to stay to enjoy the beach. The hotel was clean, the room spacious enough for 3 (2 double beds). I would like to say we would stay here again but we won't. Our one requirement for a stay on the beach-and we paid extra to have an oceanfront room- is a balcony. We assumed all hotels at the beach would have one. This hotel does not. So we will not be staying here again,

Unfortunately it wasn't very pleasant staying on this hotel. There is an everyday fee for staying at hotel. Breakfast sucks!! and internet didn't work. There were ants which made it disgusting.. I regret staying here. Hopefully next time I can read reviews before deciding.

Everything as expected for the $. Staff was good, location good, food good beach access great..

Average hotel experience. Room was clean, staff was very nice, amenities were good. Location of hotel however was on the quiet side of the beach. Nothing was in walkin distance...no restaurants, shops, etc. Had to drive everywhere, but at least it was a short distance to drive. Beach access was great. Would stay here again if only for overnight.

Good price horrible free breakfast. Acomadations were clean and it had free parking.

Hotel was in a great location. Service was great and would go back. The best part was the price we paid for our stay. I would go back to this hotel.

This hotel could use a major update. Rooms are a good size, but the beds are not very comfortable. The pool is too small for a hotel this size. They need to rethink the restaurant set up. The breakfast buffet is really a joke. They should also think about hiring a grounds keeper who actually picks up garbage around the property. For 3 days a pair of underwear, broken sandals, and two tops were on the ground by the door on the upper level parking. I hope the new management company can turn this hotel around.

This hotel was AMAZING! First lets talk about location: its right on the beach complete with pool side bar. You can look outside the window and all you see is BEACH BEACH BEACH!!! The inside of the hotel has another smaller bar, and restaurant. We didn't eat there since there is so much more dinning available outside the hotel, so I can't speak on whether it was good. As far as inside the bar, there are people all enjoying themselves. Its nice if you get got off a plane where you can drink and then wander back up to the room without having to worry about driving. Recommend if you get in late. Otherwise there are plenty of other places, all you have to do is walk around. Hotel offers DVD rentals for free, kind of like a red box if you have kiddos for later in the evening, but why anyone would want to watch movies with the ocean outside is beyond me! They also have "pool side" towels available. This was nice, since we brought beach towels, but after one day it was obviously easier to just use the hotel's since we would get a fresh one each day. If you loose the towel you have to pay $25.00 but really, its just to ensure they get their towels back. If you bring them back at the end you are not charged. They also had a workout room, and laundry room for guest if you need it. Inside our room, they had a fridge, complete with little kitchen nook, filled with plates, cups, and anything else you might need for the kitchen an a microwave. Though the TV was a little dated, we only turned it on the last day when we were packing up. So if your into TV might not be up to your standards. Not really an issue. The view we had was on the 5th floor, and even from there it was amazing. Everyday we opened the curtains to a spectacular view of the sea. The bed was firm, and the pillows fluffy, and house keeping kept us stocked with plenty of towels, and straightened the room well. Our bathroom was a again a little dated but not bad at all. If you need anything, all you have to do is call the front desk. They were super helpful. However, WARNING! somehow there are people looking to get you to your information, scams designed by people who slip pizza fliers under your door after house keeping is done. If you call in a pizza they could use your information to steal you identity. Its a pretty smart scam, but we just tossed the forms and walked to the pizza places if we wanted pizza. Much better there anyways. There is a ton of Italian food and of course seafood too. If you are looking for a good time outside the room, the value and comfort is awesome. If you are looking for all the extras and want to pay an arm and leg go for it. This was a great vacation!!
