The staff and family who own are genuinely wonderful .
My husband and I recently went to florida to rest after him reciving Kimo for 6 months.We checked into another hotel and demanded our money back after seeing the room,Found this one quite by accident.The front desk clerk was Mr personality him self .and the Patel family are making constant up grades to the priceless location. the only complaint I have is the smell of indian food made me hungry every day,There was a good Indian buffet on Atlantic ave. we enjoyed as well. Andy was a joy he did everything we ask with a smile ,you can tell he is devoted to the family. All and All it was affordable it had to be for us,Clean and nice,thanks again and again.

hotel covers your needs - place to crash, on the beach, has a pool, short drive to bars/ you could walk it easily...

Little old gem in the sand
I gave this one a 3 star - too many write-ups that don't help because some are upset at a detail or two. This little old place could have been overlooked, but it's above average on owner's effort to excel at revitalizing an old place. A bit more effort by the management and I could easily rate this old gem a 4 star here (in her catagory - we're not talking 'Ritz', OK?). It's old - but nicely remodeled; someone put thought into this one. Location was outstanding - far enough north to avoid the Main street clatter; access to beach was great (right on it). Clean, well-kept pool and sitting area at beach were nice touches, including nice glassed-in gazebo with swing. It's a cozy place, parking a bit tight - but people tended to be friendly and the management was attentive. Only gripe was internet access - a bit spotty to non-existant in my room. If they would add a remote or two could probably fix that. This one was my best experience yet in an America's Best Value Inn and a bargain for my needs. I will return and would recommend to friends.

Short drive from hotel
'Barnacles' restaurant is a mile or so north on Atlantic Blvd - FANTASTIC bar and seafood; wait staff was excellent. The 'Gateway' restaurant down on International Speedway Blvd toward back of island (approaching river) is a great breakfast and lunch treat - this is the 'real deal' with great wait staff and excellent food. Cici's pizza just south of Main Street and fronting on Atlantic Blvd offers great non-chain hand-made pizzas - highly recommend.

Not bad for last minute plans
The motel was beach side, very clean pool and room. Great for relaxing as was was not in the "party" zone. Only complaint would be the size of parking area.

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY
THE PRICE WAS RIGHT BUT WE EXPECTED TO HAVE PARKING AND A CLEAN ROOM NOT A BROKEN SINK AND THE TOILET WAS SO CLOSE TO THE SINK YOU HAD TO TURN SIDEWAYS VERY GLAD IT WAS ONLY ONE NIGHT

Worth it.
You get what you pay for. If I paid more, I would expect the room to be bigger and the staff friendlier; however, I paid $65 for a "Motel" ON the beach and that is what I got. When I vacation I don't spend countless hours in the hotel. I go out, have a good time, and crash at the hotel, wake up and repeat. All in all, I would definitely stay here again if the price is similar.

THE DREADFUL HOTEL
the hotel was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. it was small,the service was horrible. i never heard of a hotel where you had to pay for ice!!! the appearance was very dingy.very outdated hotel.they had to change out the A/C(which was in the window),the knob didnt work on it, and didnt get cold at all!!! what sucked the most was the parking.how can a hotel have over 50 plus rooms,but have only 18 parking spots.me and my fiance had to park on the side of the road.NEVER, NEVER, NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!
