Awful Windsor Park Hotel
First the desk clerk denied that I had a reservation. But, when I showed the paperwork, he suddenly found me in the computer. He put me in a dirty small room on the top floor. There were no pictures on the walls, dust was all over the window and the nonworking heating vent. Bedspreads were very dingy and dirty. I could hear the person next door flip the toilet lid up or down, and throw things in the trash can. It was really awful. I was alone and it was in the pm. The desk clerk was gruff and spoke broken English. The location was the best part. But I felt unsafe, and I even placed furniture against the door. AWFUL....

VERY DISSAPPOINTING
STAY AWAY !! The hotel advertised free breakfast. What you get is a continental breakfast. Quite a difference. The room was small and dingy-looking, but clean. Cracked plaster and old peeling paint had been painted over. There were NO COFFEE MAKERS IN THE ROOMS and no place to get coffee at night. The hotel lists lots of eating places within walking distance --- but you better expect to do a LOT of walking to get anywhere. The hotel does not provide parking and on street parking is all but non-existent. The ONLY good thing is the neighborhood. This hotel is located among beautiful old homes, most of which have been converted into foreign embassies. But that is NOT enough reason to stay. NOT A GOOD DEAL FOR THE MONEY!

Not so great
The hotel looked very nice and expensive on the outside so I thought that I had gotten a great deal coming in. Once I got into the room, I was super let down. The room was tiny and not very inviting. Some lights didn't work and bathroom was smaller than you can imagine. Staff was nice. Computer room had 2 computers but no wireless service in hotel. Pastries put out in the mornings not very good...hard and cold like it was in the refrigerator. Good coffee and juice though. Location was ok - close to restaurants and Metro station.

Pretty grim
The location in Dupont circle is nice but the hotel itself was pretty nasty, but when you pay cheap you get cheap. "Water was not available for purchase anywhere in the hotel, just soda" (when I went downstairs at 5am with a parched throat). The city was booked out for a conference, hence why I had to stay here, thank God it was for only one night.

Terrible
This hotel was terrible, the only plus was the location. Parking was an additional $40 a day, the room was small with only a bed and desk in it. We were suppose to stay for 4 nights and canceled the rest of our nights after the first one, which the hotel is refusing to refund us for even though we were within the time allowed. Room was dirty and smelled old. This hotel is in much need of repair. The elavator only held 2 people, and breakfast was a joke. (wrapped stale pastery).

Horrible expirience
We did not like it at all,the rooms smell bad,we were moved twice and still the air conditioner did not work. All we found early in the morning was coffee only, the elevators too small and no answer at the front desk and the worst was that the hotel did not have its own parking and i was almost a half an hour and ten blocks away looking for parking,Overall a disaster in that old hotel.
