Dining
- international lounge
- The keynote of the international is the feeling of grown-up glamour and sophistication that reigned throughout the Kennedy years - the golden age of All-American-Style; full of promise and ambition. This is not Austin Powers or Warhol Pop. Think Babe Paley; think dressed up, crisp clothed jet-setters and kings of commerce enjoying a classic champagne cocktail, nibbling an elegant snack, while engaging in intense flirtation and conversation into the wee hours - after all one can always stay over.
- No. 10 Thomas
- No. 10 Thomas offers Contemporary American cuisine and the perfect ambience for any meal. Watch the "Early birds" at Logan Circle in the morning, sunbathers taking a dip in our pool after lunch, or the sunset over National City Christian Church in the evening. Sip a Glass of Champagne or enjoy a cocktail by candle light on our Poolside terrace and make a wish while counting the shooting stars over Washington D.C.

Good stay, wonderful staff
Our room was very comfortable and the internet was free. We went for a business breakfast at a fancier hotel and found the staff there unhelpful and rude. We were so pleased with the Washington Plaza.

Good DC Hotel
The Washington Plaza Hotel provided us with a good stay. We were visiting a friend in Shaw, so it was very conveniently located. We also did some sightseeing, and the walk to the sites isn't bad. There's plenty of good food and coffee around. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was excellent! They held our bags after we checked out and ordered us a car to the airport--all went off without any issues.

Great Weekend Getaway
Stayed here several times and will continue to come! The staff is great, and the rooms are clean! The only problem I have is the maids have walked in on me TWICE even thought I have the do not disturb sign on my door. This past weekend they woke me up at 6 AM, hoping they would go to the next room I attempted to go back to sleep, but was then looking face to face with maid who let her self right in the room! Other than that I always enjoy my stay at the plaza!

Pleasant at the Plaza
We were in town for a wedding and opted to stay here instead of the suggested hotels...mostly becaues of the potential for swimming in the pool because I was bringing my 7 year old. However, upon check-in we were told that the pool didn't open until May. This wasn't advertised anywhere that I remember seeing prior to booking this hotel and would have made a difference. Overall, the stay was fine. Nothing fancy but a nice place to stay and we truly weren't in the room that much. As a single adult it would have been great...as a parent traveling with a child it was a bit far from the sites. Pros- near enough to everything, tidy room, nice staff, temp control good in room, room service was tasty and on time Cons- a bit far away for a tired child to walk at times, pool wasn't open yet, no bathtub in our room, tv/cable went out a lot and there weren't storms, loud being near elevators

Wonderful hotel
We have stayed at Washington Plaza a few times, the location is great just a few blocks to McPherson Square,(where the metro will take you right to smithsonian and the mall) walkable to Dupont Circle abut 5 - 10 minutes, there are plenty of coffee shops etc. nearby. Rooms are clean and spacious, the pool is a nice treat in th summer. Overall a wonderful hotel. On one stay I forgot a suit in the lobby when we were packing for home. I didn't discover it missing until I was looking to wear it again. Finally I called the hotel, not expecting anything, but they had kept it and then sent it to my home. Service is great, and there is underground parking. Most recently we arrived at noon, and was able to park the car and keep it there overnight until 6pm the next night, for the one day hotel rate. Quite remarkable for a city hotel!!
