Old world glamour and style with Four Diamonds rating
The St Regis, Washington D.C. hotel has an illustrious history, being a favorite spot in Washington D.C. for royals, politicians, presidents and celebrities since its 1927 opening. The hotel is well located very near to the White House itself, along with many other popular attractions. Though the hotel has a long history, it is fully up to date after a comprehensive refurbishment, to ensure that guests find a grand combination of classic style with modern flourishes.
3 Reasons to Stay:
Hotel known for its illustrious visitors including royalty, prime ministers, and every US President since 1927
Renaissance styling with a wealth of imported antiques, chandeliers and furnishings for the ultimate in elegance
Recently received the AAA Four Diamond Award, ensuring a stay of the highest caliber
The St Regis, Washington D.C. Rooms
The St Regis, Washington D.C. comprises 182 rooms, including 25 suites. Being a favorite haunt of presidents, there is a presidential suite available with the height of opulent luxury on hand. For those of slightly more modest means, luckily there is a full range of beautifully appointed rooms, equaling the rest of the hotel for comfort, service and glamour. The Superior rooms feature a 350 square foot floor plan, and a double bed to accommodate singles or couples. The décor is wonderfully warm, with golden hues not often seen in other hotels, and subtly classical twists on contemporary ideas, such as miniature Grecian columns around the 32-inch flat screen TV. Going up the range, rooms increase in size, with many having a choice of extra double beds, or a single king sized bed. The same imaginative high-class styling that characterizes the rest of the hotel is in evidence in every room, and all feature similar amenities such as high-speed wireless Internet ($14.95 USD per day), daily newspaper, cable TV, DVDs and in room movies, Pratesi linens, a choice of feather or foam pillows, and 24-hour room service.

Wonderful and a relaxing retreat to return after a busy day !
We had a terrific experience here. Our first stay on the property. The only thing missing was a pool for the children. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful even providing tickets for museums so we did not have to stand in line. It will be our first choice for our next stay !

Elegant hotel
We were looking for an elegant hotel and the St Regis is beautiful. We received excellent service, from the doormen, valet, front desk and in their restaurant. our room was quiet, although not large. Easy access to the Kennedy Center and the Whie House is a few blocks away - great location.

Great Place to Stay in DC near White House
One of the most memorable visits I've had to DC - and the location and staff of the hotel had a big role to play. Avoid taking the Hop on Hop Off - the location of the hotel makes all the sites and meseums accessible with a few min walk or a short taxi ride. By picking a hotel centrally located, you can get to places faster and avoid being stuck on a hop on off bus or wait for sub-way and change for hours. This hotel has been one of most impressive ones I've stayed at across US and Europe in all my trips these past 30 years.

Jaleo & it's sister Tapas place in George Town are a must visit dining experiences when in DC. Make sure you order the Iberico Jamone (Ham) and savour the flavors - order a bottle of Volver La Mancha Tempranillo and enjoy the evening.

St. Regis rocks
The hotel was very nice, although in-room coffee service would have been nice. However, what sets this hotel apart is the service from the doorman to the butler, front desk service. Outstanding. Plus, the St. Regis is conveniently located to the White House and many other things. Loved the stay.

Classic stay
Was looking for a hotel that said "Washington DC" This one did that nicely.Thought restaurant was too contemporary to be in keeping with historic hotel. Service was outstanding and all of staff very friendly and helpful.Would like to be able to buy a soft drink without paying 6.oo dollars for it. Nice comfortable, quiet rooms, clean, and quaint.Again, everyone was considerate from the door man to the manager.
