Quick business trip

The first and most wonderful thing about this hotel is its location! So close to DuPont Circle, all of the eateries, and metro, but just a bit away to be out of the direct hustle. This combination was perfect! The staff was very helpful and efficient. I arrived way before check-in after a long red eye flight. The gentleman asked me before I could even inquire if I wanted to check in early. It was nice for once not to bear my soul about the dreadful flight I endured so they would take pity on me and let me in the room early. Good customer service. The room itself was small but nicely appointed. Here's my one complaint, I was next to what sounded like their laundry room. I really didn't pay attention until I was in bed that night. Unfortunately I am a light sleeper. I began counting "1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi" between washing cycles. Now I could have gone down and requested a new room but the thought of packing up and moving was just too much. So I covered my ears with the nice comfy pillows. (the bed and pillows were extremely comfy!). So avoid room 804 if you are a light sleeper. Overall I liked the hotel and would stay again (just not in 804)!

Week vacation getaway

Very impressed with the location of the Hotel. Staff were very helpful. Called for service when the remote to the television did not work and staff delivered a new one within minutes. Staff was very warm and friendly. The bed was very comfortable, room felt very clean. Size of the room was OK, on the small side but no real complaints. I would stay at this hotel again.

Great place to stay!

I really enjoyed this hotel. The staff were friendly, the bed was big and comfy, the location was right next to Dupont Circle and they had a great free breakfast! One thing I should point out though is that I was disappointed that the breakfast setup only used disposable plastic plates, cups, forks, etc. Come on, people! You can't even recycle that stuff!

Nice Place

The hotel was clean and in great location. For the price I would recommend it to anyone. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was good for being a continental style deal. Not many amenities, ex.no bar or restaurant or room service, pool was not open yet.

Great place to stay, Dupont Circle and Metro nearby

My late check in was a little confused due to an online travel company notification problem of a canceled night, but the hotel staff accommodated us with the only room they had left a smoking room. The next day the staff moved our luggage to a non-smoking King room, an upgrade as I only had paid for a Queen room. Once this problem was fixed the desk staff remembered my name and went out of their way to be helpful. The continental breakfast was the usual but there was always one or two staff members around to help or clean up. The shops and restaurants of Dupont Circle and 17th Street are less than a 5 minute walk and the Metro to the museums, monuments etc. is one block away. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location

My daughter and I stayed at the Embassy Row Hotel this passed week. It was our first trip to Washington DC and we were happy we chose this hotel. The location was great! We were close to the Metro and also could walk to DuPont Circle for dinner. The breakfast was more than adequate and the rooms were small but comfortable. We felt it was a great value and would recommend the hotel to friends

Worst hotel in dc

This place is a wreck. Tear it down. The firstt night I was in a room with a drain pipe and pump adjacent to the room. Then they moved me to a room with mildew and chipped paint on the ceiling. The whole place smelled like an old mildewed smoking hotel. Very disturbing as I needed rest on the short, important trip.

nice trip

The rooms were very comfortable, but the bathroom left something to be desired: almost no counter space! There was nowhere to get a cocktail in the hotel. Since it was pouring rain, we were not happy that we had to walk more than a block to find a martini.
