Cheap stay with the bare necessities

Amenities were Wifi and decent breakfast with no where to sit. Location was close to everything. Room: At first glance I was nervous to walk in, but the bathroom was great and extra clean. Thin bedroom door meant I have to listen to noises from every room in the hallway. Window that would close allow the cold wind to blow right on in. I was able to pump the heat up to 80 to compensate. Staff: Very unfriendly from the front desk to the cleaning crew. Value: You get what you pay for. Only recommend this place to your enemies.

Good for my needs.

Older hotel in excellent location in Washington. The cost was my reason for staying there. Needed something that allowed me to fly to Washington and stay within my budget. This meet the need. Do need to fix the milk machine. This was a problem. Considering the age the bathroom was a positive. Know your desire is to provide a comfortable place to stay and this was meet but I would suggest that you do some painting in the rooms. This would add to your hotel. Overall a good stay would stay again if I return.

Great location and very good price. That's all.

I've stayed at this hotel twice (include this review). Great location, near most of the places I wants to see. I used to live in D.C. and this location is very safe at night and in walking distance to Metro. However, it's an old, old, and small hotel. Good only for single or couples and/or people like me only use the hotel to shower and go with minimum sleep time. Not the best for the families. Get Holiday in across the street from this hotel for families.

The DISTRICT HOTEL - DC

- Could hear the people talk in the next room. -- Loud music was heard every night till way past midnight. Not sure if it was from the next building or from the same building. - No place to hang cloths - very small ironing board is not steady and slips -+ Bath tab was very slow to drain (was cleared up quickly bu staff) + Had cloths iron + Good price + close to my desired location + Has breakfast, though I did not use it. Not sure if its free or if there is charge for it.

Good hotel in downtown area for a short trip!

We were really glad to find a hotel which is located almost downtown in this price range. The area is pretty neat. A lot of grocery and drug stores are near by and also some pretty nice restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful all time and we got a hold of them whenever we needed them. The breakfast was surprisingly nice and we loved the lounge with TV's the lobby. The room was clean and fine. It was very small, without a closet and much space but we only needed it for sleeping so it was okay but one thing which really bothered us was not being able to open the window. Taking a look behind the the curtain showed that it was a a terrible workmanship. Also the club was playing loud music right next to our room and you could hear not only the music playing but also the people talking and partying. The music was less noisy after 12am. Exept for these thing we were really pleased with this hotel. I would recommed this hotel to people in a younger age who are going to visit DC for a short trip.
