DC Getaway
I was quite pleased with the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The only item that was missing was a microwave oven. Still I would highly recommend this hotel!

Mother teenage son trip
Amazing family trip
The State Plaza although older was an amazing hotel. It was spacious, clean, and felt safe. We had an eat in kitchen fully stocked with fridge, stove, microwave, plates, utensils, coffee maker, etc. My son and I could walk to all the monuments, the National Mall, etc. due to the heat of July, we opted for a few inexpensive cab rides across the city, but the concierge was quick to help us with all of our needs! I would give it 5 stars except for our experience at the F Street Bistro. Our waiter was rude and inattentive. The food was okay though.

Short Stay for High School Scholars Conference
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the city. Offered maps and a list of restaurants close to the hotel and downtown DC. Housekeeper made up the beds but did not empty the trash in the room during our stay. Used the iron at 6am left it to cool off and it sat on the vanity for 2 days. Two people in the room but left only one washcloth for our 3rd day. Called housekeeping and left a message at 6pm but had to call the front desk after midnight to get a washcloth brought up. Tried to order room service from the hotel restaurant at 8:45p and was told it was too late although they close at 9:30pm.

Great Location/ Great for Family
My kids and I stayed here it was so close to the metro, and to some of the monuments. The staff was also great .Since it was extremely hot out they had ice cold water bottles waiting at the front desk for the guests. The rooms were so nice and comfortable, I would stay here again on my next trip to the DC area.

Great Location/ good for Family's

Good location and good price!
We were greeted with a big smile from Jose' who was very attentive and a great help. The front desk was just OK, the lobby is small. The room was furnished with older furniture but it was fine and clean, except under the beds (I always look). I was surprised to have a full refrigerator, a sink and stove top to cook! (if you want to) . The view is obstructed from the buildings around it, so if you want a view, this is not the place for you. The price was the best I found in the area and it is convenient to everything. I would definitely go back!

Perfect hotel, perfect price, great location
Dubious of the $99 price tag and the great reviews, we booked 1 night here. If you're hesitant, do it! If you have kids and planning a few days here, you'll love the kitchen area. The hotel room was very spacious, the dressing room and kitchen both big bonuses. Hotel very clean and safe. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Walking distance from White House and Lincoln Memorial.

We didnt eat at the hotel but had dinner at Tonic, a block away - very nice ! Try the fish tacos
