State Plaza Hotel

I enjoyed the room, as it was very clean and the staff were nice. I was excited to see that there was a kitchen, but disappointed to find that it was not stock with a cutting, dish towels, soap, or an oven. I am used to staying at the Virginian Suites which provides all of these items. However, the location of the State Plaza hotel was ideal. I would just ask that a cutting knife and kitchen towels/dish soap be provided and I would stay again.

The absolutely best location

We were able to see far more than we anticipated because we were able to walk to monuments, museums, and fantastic, ethnic eating places near the hotel.

Bad Hotel, Nice People

The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel however is a bit dated. The problem lies in the fact that the ENTIRE building can only be heated or cooled (AC) at any given time. Therefore, they leave the heat on (radiator) until the end of March, making it miserably hot if the weather is good. And there is no way to turn it off. This hotel might be a good choice in the heat of summer or the dead of winter, but any other time STAY AWAY.
