Wonderful Hotel
My family and I spent Christmas in D.C. we had a wonderful time and the hotel was amazing. For an upscale hotel it was very family friendly. The staff were an absolutely lovely and helpful, they couldn't do enough to make our stay even better. We did a package deal so I really do not know what we paid for the hotel specifically. Very clean and modern. room was spacious. we will definitely return!

Weekend getaway with wife
Hotel was as advertised. Hotel guests were from all over the world, interesting mix. Room was comfortable but a bit small. Food was excellent. Hotel staff including the parking attendants were terrific but daily parking fee was a tad expensive. Only problem was with TV, on three occasions had to call for a tech person to come to the room to start the cable service - very strange.

Great Location
We got a discount deal which made this nice hotel in a great location a perfect spot for our weekend in DC. The room was clean and nice, and the whole atmosphere of the hotel was inviting. We had just missed the free wine happy hour but the staff at the front desk gave us free wine coupons for the adjoining restaurant which had a really fun vibe during happy hour. But really this hotel is about Location, Location, Location. I love the dupont circle area and it is easy to walk from there to Georgetown, downtown, 14th Street or jump on the Metro to any other sites.

Great location, fun time!
I really liked this hotel. The staff was so nice even with our incredibly early arrival. They had a room ready and even upgraded up to a nicer room. The rooms were huge and so comfortable. The wine happy was great. It was so nice to be treated to a complimentary glass (or 2) of wine to wind down from the day's activities and prepare for the night time. My only complaints about the hotel had very thin walls and I could hear everything going on in the hallway. From my shower I could hear the entire conversation of the room next door. Overall, the hotel was great and I would definitely stay there again! Sign up for the loyalty program and enjoy free wifi and a mini bar coupon!

First time at the Palomar
I stayed as part of an flight-and-hotel package that worked out very well for my schedule. I've stayed at several hotels of this chain before, so my expectations weren't low. Even so, I was impressed. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. There was coffee in the lobby and lemon water in the afternoon (and a happy hour, I believe, but my schedule didn't permit. Best of all was the staff, though. Surly staff are rare nowadays, but an honest-to-goodness "Can I help you with that?" is equally rare. This hotel's team had that, and it was enjoyed and appreciated. Well done!

They can mess up my reservation anytime...
When I first arrived after a rocky day of travel, I was greeted with the news that the evening had unfortunately been overbooked, and I was being sent to a sister hotel, the Hotel George, for the first night of my three-night stay. I was less than enthused at the news, but it ended up being the best thing that could have happened. The staff at both the George and the Palomar, that night and after I returned, continually went out of their way to make me feel welcomed, well taken care of, and like I was the only guest there. They covered my cab to the hotel, to my conference the next morning, and arranged for my bags to be waiting in my new (and INCREDIBLE) suite when I arrived back at the Palomar on day 2. To top things off, I received complimentary wine and martinis at practically every turn (clearly they knew the way to this girl's heart!), a fruit & cheese platter while settling into the suite, a REFUND on the first night's stay (despite being put up in a perfectly lovely room at the George!), and a handwritten note from the manager extending further apologies. The staff truly went above and beyond in a million different ways, which is what I will remember long after this trip, instead of remembering a botched reservation. As I say - they can overbook me anytime! I'm a Kimpton girl for life.

Love Kimpton
I checked in very late at night, and got to my room as quickly as I could...everything was perfect. The view from my room on the 9th floor was lovely...looked out onto a courtyard and some buildings, that reminded me of being tucked away in a European city. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and happy to help in all situations. Coming home to cocoa bar in the late afternoon was a nice surprise (since it was so cold out). The wine happy hour is always nice. And coffee to go in the lobby is also a plus. The food was great in the restaurant. I'd be happy to stay there again.
