Elegant hotel with classy restaurant steps away from the White House
The Hamilton Crowne Plaza is in a restored 1920s-era building located in Lafayette Park. The hotel is near most D.C. tourist and business attractions. Guests don't need to leave the hotel to enjoy a delicious meal or a happy hour drink. The hotel's 14K Restaurant offers regional American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a classy environment. The restaurant even has a children's menu. There's also a lounge where guests can sip wines from an extensive list.

Great Family Vacation
Hotel is older and is about to be remodeled in the next couple of months. We had a wonderful time. Concierge was great with suggestions. They gave us a list of favorite restaurants. We ate at 4 of them and all were exceptional.

Italian Fusion in the favorites list and the Latin Cuban restaurant, both were the best meals we had all week. The prices were great too.

Conference - March 2012
Stayed 3 nights for a conference. Check-in/out was efficient. Concierge was helpful with bags. Room was clean, but small (no closet or iron). Wish the attached Starbucks stayed open later. Very convenient for McPherson Square subway station. Hotel "14K" restaurant was cleverly named, but overpriced. Good for business travel; probably better options for family travel.

Great place to stay
Within walking distance to all the sites. Comfortable and with a very helpful staff. Will stay here on our next trip to Washington.

Great location, accommodating staff.
Great location, able to walk to all the memorials. The staff was very accommodating. There are two things you should be aware of. One is the parking at the hotel is quite expensive which wouldn't have been a big deal if it wasn't a surprise at check out. The other is breakfast at the Hotel is overpriced and lacking flavor.

the staff at crowne olaza hamilton is the very best I have ever encountered at a hotel. They are very friendly and accomodating. I highly reccomend this hotel. whenever I'm in washington, I'll be at the crowne plaza, hamilton. can't say enough about this hotel. loved it

Excellent Location
Excellent location. Very helpful staff. The reason I rated it only average is because it is an old hotel and the rooms are a bit small. However, I would rate it excellent for its staff, location, health club except it did not have a jaccuzzi.

The Holocost museum was outstanding and so were the Smithsonian museums.

Fun Weekend
The hotel was nice. The drink prices at the bar are a bit high, but I suppose that is to be expected in DC. However, $20 for two drinks was a bit absurd.
