Carlyle Suites Hotel

The hotel has a great friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel's breakfast buffet is a good price in this neighborhood. This hotel is in a safe neighborhood for walking to restaurants and the DuPont Circle metro. On weekends, on street parking is free in the neighborhood, a great savings over valet parking. This is the second time we have stayed at the Carlyle, and we will return again.

Not sure what happened to service in this hotel but the housekeeping staff at this hotel is unusually hard to deal with. They did not fill the coffee supplies unless asked to and did not even replenish the shampoos in the bathroom. The front desk staff was friendly but they did not offer to move us when the rooms near us filled with noisy high schoolers and we complained.

Large rooms with free WiFi. Kitchenete with small fridge and cooktop. Unfortunately no fan/hood over cooktop, so food odors from adjacent rooms can be unpleasant. Art deco style of room furnishings was interesting but really could use new carpet (well used & dingy). Location, location, location - near Dupont Circle, Metro, Embassy Row, restaurants, shops, and Safeway was best part of our stay Overall an OK place to stay - unless you want something with modern luxuries.

We booked our trip on very short notice and needed to bring our dog along. We ended up at Carlyle Suites Hotel because it was pet-friendly, well reviewed, and in a good location. We were only at Carlyle Suites for one night, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to D.C. with pets. There was no additional charge to bring our dog (I have paid $50/night extra at other D.C. hotels!). The Dupont Circle location was an easy walk to our favorite restaurants, and it's close to the Metro for getting to other parts of town. The room was super clean and comfortable - the suite style would be great for longer stays! My ONLY reservation was that our first-floor room was very close to the hotel's restaurant/lounge, where they were hosting a loud party the night we stayed. Next time I would ask for a room a little further up!

Great location, clean and convenient. Includes outdoor parking but limited to 20 spots first come first serve.

Wonderful & helpfull people @ the front desk. Beautiful room cleaned daily. Located just blocks from the metro station. Grocery store just a couple blocks away. Plenty of shopping and resturants nearby. What a place...you will not be disappointed.

Great location near Dupont Circle (red line Metro station) @ New Hampshire between R & S Sts. Renovated, spacious Art Deco Suites. Reasonable rates and (free!) parking in rear despite post-election day Veteran's holiday. Unsure if air conditioning available in summer, but was unecessary @ the time. Would definitely return.

It was our first time visiting Washington DC and what a great place! I did a lot of research on the web and did book a couple of hotels before making my final decision. I chose this one as it was in a good location and taxes were included in the price, not added to the final cost when arriving at the hotel ( like the others stated). The staff at reception were really helpful. However if there is one comment I would make, it would be that the buffet breakfast in the hotel is not promoted by the staff, which is ashame, as it was really good. We only found the breakfast room on our last day as we did not know it was there. Otherwise everything was great

The Carlyle Suites was a decent stay in a decent room at a decent (for Washington, DC) price. To be fair, the Carlyle Suites isn't the kind of hotel I usually enjoy, so others may find it better than I did. There were positive aspects - a great location in Dupont Circle, and the friendliest staff that I've experienced in a hotel in a long time.
