Business trip to Washington
Hotel is old and needs freshening up. Nevertheless, it is acceptable for a one night stay as it is the most affordable I could find around Embassy Row.

We got lucky
We didn't know what to expect, since we had booked hotels in DC "blind" and been disappointed. The opposite was true. We will stay there any time we're in DC. Staff was great, room excellent and couldn't have been happier

Great stay!
Stayed here Sunday night before my all day meeting in DC and absolutely loved it. I don't know if I got the suite I paid for or if they decided to upgrade me but either way my room was AMAZING. Big suite with 2 double beds, + a connected living room space with a big bathroom and a full kitchen (refrigerator, toaster, microwave, and stove and kitchen supplies and utensils!!). I loved the cruelty free vegan biodegradable packaged bath supplies and soap. Also I was happy to see organic fair trade coffee in the room. Big TV with HBO and Showtime. The staff were very friendly and the location in Dupont circle was great. I'll definitely stay here again.

Great location
It was our first time visiting Washington DC and what a great place! I did a lot of research on the web and did book a couple of hotels before making my final decision. I chose this one as it was in a good location and taxes were included in the price, not added to the final cost when arriving at the hotel ( like the others stated). The staff at reception were really helpful. However if there is one comment I would make, it would be that the buffet breakfast in the hotel is not promoted by the staff, which is ashame, as it was really good. We only found the breakfast room on our last day as we did not know it was there. Otherwise everything was great

Very friendly staff, average accommodations
The Carlyle Suites was a decent stay in a decent room at a decent (for Washington, DC) price. To be fair, the Carlyle Suites isn't the kind of hotel I usually enjoy, so others may find it better than I did. There were positive aspects - a great location in Dupont Circle, and the friendliest staff that I've experienced in a hotel in a long time.

Great time in DC!
Everyone was very friendly and we had no complaints at all. The most comfortable beds we've ever slept on in a hotel! (tempurapedic) Would not hesitate to go back and would recommend to anyone.

Our room @ the carlyle was great. we had a suite with lots of room and a very comfortable king bed.The soap was really a neat design however it was really yucky. The soap did not smell nice or even feel very good. The kreurig coffee was not replaced after initial use but the room was immaculate and for DC the price was reasonable. We would go there again.

Great Location/Nice Rooms
We had a very nice experience. The staff was very attentive and helpful with directions and dining suggestions around town. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. Nice flat screen TV, a Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen, and wireless internet. It was nice to have a small kitchen to have early breakfast before heading out for the day.

Great stay!
The hotel is situated within walking distance to some great DC monuments, including the White House and Washington Monument, as well as museums, restaurants, bars, and parks. The room itself was spacious, and included a sitting area with lots of big windows for natural light. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
