Great location for our trip!
Dupont Circleis very close with great dinning choices. Metro close, must use! Taxis OK but try to run the cost up or drive you in circles. White House and Mall are 4 blocks away. Had a great time.

Average hotel
The hotel is average. Though the price is good. We went there for 2 nights, just to see Washington DC. The location is ok, walking distance (may be 20 min.) to the White House, subway nearby (5 min. walking). I didn't like the room - too small, the service was ok, but the room was not really clean - papers behind the bedside cabinet, dust on the floor between the wardrobe and the window (the average person won't notice it, but I had to plug my mobile phone charger and ended beeing in dust). The good thing was that breakfast was included. In general I would put B-

Not bad, Not great.
The rooms were small, but was fine for just sleeping there, was close to the metro and shops. The staff wasn't that great. When we checked out they charged us for an extra day of parking, Then they didn't know where our car keys went when we checked out. When they finally brought the car it was down pouring and they parked the car in the rain. Park at Saint Matthews for $5 a day!!! It's across the street but not valet though.

Weekend in D.C.
Spent a weekend - Cherry Blossom Festival - missed peak blossoms by a couple of days, tried to do as much as we could, hotel is convenient to White House, Dupont Circle (shopping, restaurants and boutiques) and Washington Monument. Walked alot, bring comfortable shoes, would recommend using the Metro train, it is quiet, clean and economical.
